A couple of major injuries for LG out of the weekends practice match, Russ Lee badly dislocated shoulder and the new bloke Perry done a knee.

Interesting that despite LV talking about their strong recruiting this year the two grand final teams have lost praccy's to HDFL teams that finished outside the 5 and Leitchville easy beat 3rd placed Pyramid, North beat Newbridge and Huntly easy beat improvers Miti. Only praccy games but still seams to be a gap between the leagues.

Don't think huntly winning by a couple of points an easy win.How are mounts traveling with there new recruits?

Bridgewater beat Colbo, Serp flogged White Hills the week before, Miti got within a goal to Huntly and last year Bridgey did a number on your mob so it's fair enough to say the LV is improving. The gap between the HD & LV to the Bendigo League has tightened ( Mounts and Kyneton on the weekend show that) Sandhurst and the other Club Bendigo Clubs in general lose players at a younger age to the districts than they use too.

Colbo beat bridgey by a goal. Colbo also beat Stanhope by 10+ goals. Colbo Had 5 out. Juicy odds at $12 for the hoppers

Season is here boys whats everyone thinking for Round 1?
Elmore vs Heathcote looks like a crucial game for the momentum of both Club's Seasons.
Should be able to get a guage if Huntly are still going to be finals quality when they play Mounts.
Bit the same with White Hills playing Leitchville.
Colbo have talked it up a bit over the summer so it will be also be interested what they can do against the top cats.
Predictions lads?

Elmore v heathcote - give the wooden spoon to the loser. Elmore very confident they will cause a upset. I'll tip heathcote to win
Mount to beat huntly
Letchy to flog hills
Lbu to beat colbo

What was the extent of the injuries that Leitchville copped Bomber? Bit of a shame with the recruiting they have done.

Yeah I'm with you on this one Bomber. I've had a look at the Hillies training and they appear to be way slower, fatter and a fair bit smaller than the team that took to the park last year. Would be struggling to have three players taller than 5'10". Reckon your boys should be able to take it pretty easy this weekend and it would be a good chance to rest any players that might have a niggle or two. Reckon if you turn up on the day you should win easy.

whos done the talking up at colbo??
Elmore
Mounts
LG
Colbo!

Been multiple posts on this thread over the summer months tipping us off that we had underestimated how strong they will be, that $12.00 is Juicy Premiership odds etc etc. Be interesting too see how it all settles down I didn't think a few sides look quite as strong on paper as had been touted. Let the games begin.

Elmore by 7 points.
Mounts by 16 points.
Leitchville-Gun by 30 points.
LBU by 14 points.
