I tried digging for other hints but found nothing. However, did stumble across this;

The Western Bulldogs today announced Geelong Travel as the Club’s official Member Partner for season 2016.

Geelong Travel have been in partnership with the Club for 15 years, and Life Member and Geelong Travel Managing Director Stuart Coffield said he was delighted to continue the relationship.

“I am looking forward to taking Geelong Travel’s engagement with members and supporters of the Club to the next level by offering members special deals, and most importantly fantastic customer service when they book through Geelong Travel.

“Whether booking for the 2016 Cairns home game or your next international family holiday, we want to become the travel destination for all Bulldogs members and corporate partners.”

As a bonus to members who renew or join for 2016, Geelong Travel are offering $50 off your next domestic holiday package and $100 off your next international holiday package.

Members who book a travel package through Geelong Travel before 31 January 2016 will also go in the running to win an all-expenses paid trip to Cairns for the Bulldogs home game in 2016 (including two nights’ accommodation and airfares) for two people.

For more information, call the Geelong Travel team on (03) 5244 3666.

Nice little bit of extra incentive to renew early I think.

Obviously we targeted Audi at the start of the year, which Hawthorn ended up landing the contract for, but you'd think the likes of Honda & Nissan would be aware of this and would be trying to tee something up with the few clubs left that don't have a car supplier as a corporate partner.

What that Roy Morgan poll shows is that the AFL is a hopelessly diluted marked for automotive sponsors and that any prospective sponsor may not get decent bang for their buck considering the protection Toyota gets as the princial league and naming rights partner

Maybe potential sponsors are holding off until after the fixture is announced so they can see their potential exposure? Dogs may even be holding off on signing a new sponsor as these 11 primetime game gives us better bargaining power in order to get more $ from sponsors?

Embarrassing the Saints have just announced a new major sponsor and 20K membership. I was so sure we'd net a major sponsor given our upside, exposure etc but we've rolled out our attire for 2016 and it's the same old logos.

Saints have an air of 'empty vessels make the most noise' about them. They can't wait to loudly pronounce news without their due diligence ( see Carlisle trade/white powder fiasco). We have been more cool calm and collected since Bev and Big Dave have taken over the helm (and yes i include Taliagate in that)
