How much are centreline payments?

Sorry, can't be arsed reading through the net.

My sister claims she is always broke yet her and her partner are both fulltime slackers on the dole with three girls under 5 years old and pay $270 rent per week.

I see no reason why he cannot work at all. I just think he is lazy and we had an argument about it the other day. He says if he works they'll be worse off and she'll lose her payments. Doesn't seem right to me.

How much would they be getting between them per fortnight on the dole?

Is their child daycare free?

If he goes to work would he have to pay for day care?

All seems a bit confusing to me.

Why the * do they need childcare if they are dole bludgers?

Off the top of my head it would be about $600 a fortnight for a couple with a dependent child. I highly doubt that they would be worse off as if you only work for a couple of hours a week you don't automatically lose the payment, it gradually lowers the more you earn until you are cut off.
