So just 20 of the original 53 remain at the club. Broken up into how they were recruited:

2010 draftees: 7
2009 17yo picks: 5
2008/09 QLD/NT zone: 4
2010 off contract AFL players: 3
2009 rookies: 1

So, as it's turned out, 13 of those 20 players were born in 1992. I guess it's fair to say these players are the core of the list that will be used to build the team culture. They are Bennell, Day, Gorringe, Lynch, Matera, May, McKenzie, Nicholls, Prestia, Russell, Shaw, Swallow and Tape. Most of those guys seem like they are in it for the long haul and most should become 10 year players for the club.

So did GWS have about 5 out of 53 left?
26/48. Bugg, Buntine, Cameron, Coniglio, Davis, Downie, Golds, Greene, Hampton, Haynes, Hoskin-Elliot, Kennedy, Mohr, Palmer, Patton, Phillips, Schulz, Scully, Shiel, Smith, Sumner, Tomlinson, Townsend, Treloar, Ward and Wilson.

Remaining list percentages:
GWS: 59%
GC: 37%

would have thought GWS would have lost a few more.

although, considering the state of our list now and comparing that to who we've lost, i'd say we're sitting alright :p

There are a few factors to take into consideration here. The SUNS senior list has been cut from 48 to 38 where as the Giants have gone from 50 to 48 so far. It has also been said that GWS's 17 year old recruits were much stronger than the SUNS. So that's two reasons as to why it may have happened.
