Aww that sucks. We're not having very good luck with our younguns & injuries. Best of luck to Brady on his recovery! Hopefully he can rest up, be cherry ripe for the preseason and have a good go next year.

So we have the Saints this week, BYE, then the Blues before going to Skilled which is effectively like 4 weeks away.
For the Blues game or at worst Cats game we could have Hill, Walters, Ibbo and Luke Mac all playing.
So which guys are going to get injured next to swap for them?
Based on that list, we could potentially have Silvagni, Hill, Walters, Ibbotson, McPharlin and Gumbleton all available after the bye. At that point we would definitely have some depth and competition for places heading towards September - let's hope ...INJURY LIST - AS AT 15 JULY, 2014

Add Ballas, which means we have 3 automatic inclusions assuming McPharlin plays this week. May be time for some squad rotation especially when playing Brisbane away.
We don't travel from July 19th to August 9th, virtually 3 weeks at home and a 9 day break before the Cats and then it's time. With every one rested we'll be hard to beat for the rest of the season. Can easy see us and Sydney meeting in the granny both unbeaten since May.So we have the Saints this week, BYE, then the Blues before going to Skilled which is effectively like 4 weeks away.

I know Walters have been keeping up with fitness via upper body workout and stuff. But he's been out for a couple of months. I'm guessing they let him run in peel for a week or 2 after taking him off the injury list. Hope he can make it for the Geelong game
Won't happen straight in
I know I know. Players like MJ, Hill and McPharlin are all automate in when fit. I assume Sonson is in the same basket as well, but fitness level is bound to drop after a long break. If not peel then I think 1 or 2 weeks of running laps may still be required.
ps: happy to be wrong

We won't rest anyone methinks until we've locked up a Top 2 spot.
Assuming we finish top 2, we will play the first week Friday or Saturday, meaning our first week of finals could be back to back 6 day breaks.
Finish top 2* and we can't play on Saturday the 6th Sept - Rugby at Subi, so the fixturing will be interesting...
*still have 6 games until then - so let's not count our chickens...
There's no way they'll play a qualifying final on a Sunday. If we finish top 2 someone else will be travelling on a 6 day break to play us Friday night which would put us in the box seat I'd have thought.
What the hell is rugby? And why is it booking out Subi on the weekend of finals?
Seriously though, amateur hour by the organizers
the original quote was about Fyfe. When asked if he would need a run in the WAFL he said "he's group 1 isn't he? You don't run group 1 horses in country meets do you?" or something pretty close to thatYou don't let A graders have a run in the country so RTB says
