All this does is lock in De Boer's spot.

Don't think that will happen. Ross will be looking to someone who can play Ballantyne's role offensively (and defensively).

Could Max Duffy be an option....has he been playing WAFL lately after his few weeks of 4 goals?

Was injured. Not sure if recovered. I'd like to see Crozier lock down this position.

Although I'd prefer it be an omission and not an injury, Ballantyne wasn't in our best 22.

Looking forward to Crozier to step up and cement his spot. Knows where the goals are. Also tipping a debut now too.

So he is out for finals?

I don't like to wish injury on anyone but why couldn't it have been Mayne. I take a in form ballas over mayne anyday.

Just our luck the best players get injured.

could be a blessing in disguise

I think this would be the case if it was Mayne.

Ballas is one forward we actually needed as when he is in form he scores. All this means now is that Mayne is undroppable, so we better hope he steps up big time.
