Johnson's troublesome injury has worsened and Matthews is unsure when the versatile premiership player will return.
"It's really troubling him now," Matthews said.
"What that means in terms of time frame, I don't know."

Plantar fasciitis is the word. As opposed to grease, which was previously thought to be the word.

... and in the beginning was the word and TFB suggested the word to be plantar fasciitis.
Would this be the same word as the Robert Harvey jumping off a table onto his (stretched) plantar fascia to try to rip it to cure his plantar fasciitis? I also have heard (SEN) Prestigicomo has a similar to CJ.

Plantar fasciitis

Roman Emperor Plantar Fasciitis ruled the Roman Empire in 200BC. One of the lesser known Roman rulers, he was famous for banning the wearing of sandals onto the sporting arena, thereby assisting his brother Adidas to establish a footwear company.

Didn't the Argonauts take this idea to SE Asia where it quickly became the hot and sweaty juggernaut we now know today?

Johnson back for Lions 'in 3-4 weeks'

June 4, 2007 - 2:59PM

Brisbane Lions co-captain Chris Johnson should return from a recurring foot problem in "three to four weeks", according to coach Leigh Matthews.
However, Matthews said he didn't know when classy midfielder Luke Power (corked thigh) and small forward Ashley McGrath (knee) would return for the Lions.
There were fears for veteran Johnson's long-term playing future when he aggravated his foot condition - plantar fasciitis - during a tackle in the first quarter of Saturday night's AFL draw with Richmond.
However, Matthews remained upbeat on Monday about Johnson's chances of returning in the near future.
"He won't play for a little while. I think they (medical staff) were thinking three to four weeks," he said.
"He's been troubled with that for months on both feet.
"That's why we have rested him here and there but he damaged it on the weekend."
But Matthews admitted Brisbane were no closer to learning when Power and McGrath would come back for the Lions.
Power pulled out of the Richmond clash at the last minute while McGrath - who has kicked 20 goals for the Lions this season - has been hampered by a knee complaint.

Co-captain Luke Power will again miss the match with a quad injury while small forward Ash McGrath stood out of the contact drills and is unlikely to return until after the mid-season break.

Adcock and young forward Mitch Clark also skipped the session, but the pair are just sore after last Saturday's clash with the Western Bulldogs and are not considered in doubt.

While the selection of McGrath - who has finally recovered from a knee injury - and attacking midfielder Proud is exciting news for Brisbane, the Lions have been brought back to earth by the sobering reality that nobody knows when co-captain Johnson will return from a foot complaint.
"Chris Johnson hasn't really got a timeframe really, at this point," Matthews admitted.
"I don't think anyone said to me whether he'll be available in two weeks, four weeks, six weeks - I'm not sure."
Also on the injured list is classy midfielder Luke Power (corked thigh) and young forward Mitch Clark (quad).
Both are expected back in two weeks when Brisbane returns from an AFL bye.
