The 'Bronze Bomber' is 33 and 0. With 32 of those wins coming by the short route.

But Wilder remains the whipping boy of world boxing because of who he's fought.

Is Deontay Wilder just another record padder who will get stopped when he steps up?

Or is he the real deal??

Why is it that so many boxers seem to have huge undefeated streaks? Are they really that good? Are they just fed easier opponents to get the name up?

Yes and yes. More and more common though is the scenario that fighters are just fed easy opponents to pad their records. That's certainly what most people point the finger at Wilder for, and until fairly recently they probably have a reasonable argument.

Next up for Wilder is a defence against Eric Molina on June 13th. Assuming he comes through that a mandatory defence against Alexander Povetkin awaits him.

Povetkin promises to be Wilder's biggest test by some margin, after he recently dispensed with Mike Perez inside a round.

Deontay Wilder vs. Eric Molina coming up later today. Unbeaten WBC champ Wilder tipped the scales at 229 pound challenger Molina close enough to 240 pounds.

The Omni-present Don King sandwiched between Wilder (left) and Molina.

Can Molina become only the second of Wilder's 32 opponents (Molina will the 33rd) to hear the 5th round bell?

Molina today became Wilder's 34th victim. Managed to last into the 9th round though. Only the second fighter so far to do that. But Wilder may well have carried him for the practice it provided. Molina was downed in the 4th round. Twice in the 5th, and then finally in the 9th.

Pretty much this. Seems in boxing they'll do this for a while and then go for the big payday eventually. Look at the boxing odds on any sports gambling website for the big fights, nearly without fail they are all lopsided. Even the Mayweather v Pacquiao undercard was abysmal, sure Lomachenko is a great boxer but a good contest would have been nice.

Deontay Wilder says he’s interested in facing Lucas Browne.

Browne has been trash talking Wilder and in response Wilder says he would like nothing better than to get Browne inside the ring so that he can test his power shots on his chin.
