I was thinking Johnston's 1953 batting average would trick a few people.
If someone had said "who led the first-class batting averages on the 1953 tour of England", how would they have been tricked?

Because Bill Johnston (102) would have been the correct answer.

It would be the same as when Post 48 posted the answer "Sachin Tendulkar, 1992". The next post attempted to post the question by stating "Youngest to score a century in Australia?". The next post, by the person who posted the answer, stated "Nothing to do with Australian cricket" because that is not the answer he had in mind. Likewise I would have stated in a somewhat similar vein that the Johnston answer had nothing to do with the 1953 tour.
