Welcome to the thread of Champagne and Caviar. Now, there will be seperate tallys for win and quaddies. Win bets are in units as that's the easiest way to keep track and the quaddies will have a $100 bank every big race day. That may all be spent in Melb or a split with Syd depending on the racing. Quaddies will be up Saturdays after scratchings. This week will be slightly later as I won't be home until midday. So lets get it ORN

* let's call a unit $25 for ease with Betstar double grp1 odds.

MELBOURNE

R4 No 8 Exceptionally 3u WIN @3.40
R5 No 1 Mosheen 2u WIN @4.80
R7 No 1 Winchester 0.8u PLACE @17 & 0.2u WIN @61
R9 No 8 Eraset 0.4u Win @17 0.6u Place @5.30

All up 1.5u @12.25
SR1 No 11 - Sugar Rush (Win)
SR5 No 1 - Proisir (Win)
MR5 No1 - Mosheen (Place)
MR6 No5 - Commanding Jewel (Place)

I will add Quaddie and Bet Star Group 1 double odds on Saturday.

Betstar Group 1's (all 1u WIN)
Said Com @ 33
Permit @ 19
It's A Dundeel @ 10
Jade Marauder @ 12
December Draw @ 10

Quaddies :

Melbourne :
1,3,5,10,12,15 / 3,8,9,11,12 / 6,7,8 / 5,8,10,11,12 - $35 - 6.66%
5 / 3,8,9,11,12 / 6,7,8 / 5,8,10,11,12 - $15 - 20%

Sydney :
FIELD / 3,6,7,8,11,13,14 / 3,4,6 / 1,5 - $50 - 13.22%

Might seem a bit strange leaving out Spirit of Boom & Bel Sprinter but I think they are under the odds. The three I do have in (Mid Summer Music, Kings Rose & Sistine Angel) are all high class and VG first up.

Disspointing end after a good start with Mosheen & It's A Dundeel. I have to stop getting sucked in to the huge odds available on the Group 1's with Betstar. I wouldn't have backed Permit at 10's so I shouldn't be backing it at 18's. Same with Said Com, lesson learnt for next week. I'll have a more in depth analysys for next week so hopefully we can do better as i'll have a bit more time on my hands.

Sunday Bairnsdale :

Race 3 No 2 All Out War, 0.5u WIN @Maxidiv (sportingbet)

Should be double figures here. The form looks to be all over the place but if you forgive the unsuitable races he's actually been fairly consistent. If you go on the MV run in March (last time he was at 2000m) he ran 2nd to Tanah Lot in a 100K race, which looks exceptionally good for this. Before that he won over 2200m and was a close up 2nd over 2000m. You want the price because its been a while since he's shown he can do it, but I think in a small field he can certainly give a sight and the rest are certainly not stars.

Race 6 No 4 Prizum - 1u Win @6.00, 1u Place @2.25 (TAB)

Freshened after his 3rd to Excluded/Exceptionally. Down in grade and had the month's break so the drop back to 1600m shouldn't be a huge concern. Won at Bendigo the start before over this distance on a slow track with 60Kg.

Quaddie

FIELD/1,2,4,5,6,8,9,10,11,12,13 / 13 / 2,8,9 - $27 - 10.22%
8 / FIELD / 13 / FIELD - $23 - 19.16%

I'm astonished Royal Rada didn't win the 3rd leg of the quaddie, this is why I stay away from provincials most of the time. I think I'll stick to the good quality cups and leave the quaddies out. Was also really disapointed in the way that All Out War ran, had the perfect run in transit and gave nothing. Again, I should be sticking with better horses in better class races.

If I knew your twitter handle, I would send you a tweet misquoting some movie lines, that when read out of context, may or may not appear to be vaguely threatening to your personal well being.

Well, as I don''t have a twitter account I will have to post here:
I can't fight it anymore. I ran away from you once. I can't do it again. Oh, I don't know what's right any longer. You have to think for both of us. For all of us.
