I doubt the club would want to pay out another $1M after they just had to pay Ratts and his assistants out.
Whether he gets an extension to his 3 year contract is 50/50 IMO, but I reckon he'll see it out.

Would be a classic Carlton move, but surely on his own he can't topple Salty Malty. Although the hilarity of Dale Thomas bailing to hang with his Sensei only to find him out of a job at season's end would be spectacular.
They should just re-hire Rats anyways, Malthouse has done no better and isn't in it for the long haul.
