How often do players not get to their club of choice?

Henderson will be at Geelong in 2016. Pencil it in.

Don't forget, players have to agree to trades. If he wants to go to Geelong and Geelong only then Carlton will have to make a deal work

Jade Rawlings, Nick Stevens just to name two that come to the top of my head without thinking about it too much.

Whilst Henderson wants to go to Geelong, I reckon he just wants out of Carlton.

To be honest why would he want to go to the Cats if the Dogs were interested? He'd be perfect for them and I reckon they are closer to a Premiership than the Cats.

It's like leaving your wife for the woman next door, her ditching you while you're walking over and Kate Upton picking you up in a convertible 2 minutes later.

Hendo will replace Lonnergan, which is why we want him in the first place.

Bews is waiting in the VFL to take Enright's place. (I mean spot in 22 not like for like role)

The last one left is Bartel, depending if we get both Danger and Scooter will depend who in the side now gets dropped to the VFL for the year.

Then that leaves Mackie as our oldest player which we don't really have a like for like replacement for.

Kolo, right?

Of course he will end up at Geelong.
Geelong will give a 2nd rd pick and a player if required. His current value isnt any higher than a rd 2 pick.
Lots of balls pop out in week 1 of the trade Carlton are looking at 1/2 the GWS team they want to off load Hendo a 2nd rd pick will do it

this has the potenital of being a really awkward trade period for the cats, they have the potential to burn alot of bridges over all of this

Issue is though Carlton don't care where he goes and someone will offer up a first or more than you guys do.

Trigg is at Carlton now isn't he? Surely Henderson has it written into his contract that he can be traded anywhere he wants for a 2nd rounder?

The Cats are the best team in the league to trade with, not sure why you'd expect that to change now.

So be it. He's not worth a first round pick
You don't think so? Key position player only a year removed from playing good footy, in the prime of his career?

You're dreaming if you don't think he's worth a first. The market will be a first rounder at the minimum for him. Geelong aren't getting him for anything less.

They are but they have never been in this situation before with both Danger and Hendo wanting to be traded in.

I find this hard to believe, everyone in Australia knew that Adelaide would match and not just let Danger walk.

Much of Geelong's dealings were predicated on finishing ahead of The crows.

That way Geelong's 1st rounder would have been after than Adelaide's FA compo. In other words swap their finishing positions and resultant draft picks and the incentive to match the offer ain't there.

Assuming you trade your first and second to the crows for Danger. Draft Value Index puts 9 & 27 at 2100 points which is approx pick 3~4 so it strikes me as about right.

Hendo deal could look like this:
2016 1st rounder, you guys would undoubtedly back yourself to climb back up the ladder, so a later pick is likely.

Could upgrade your 2016 2nd rounder at a pinch.

first point is a stupid comment
second point is irrelevant, the cats have gotten themselves in a tangle, they cant trade with everyone if they have nothing to trade with

Hi and thanks for your input.

First point is a bit of a gag, maybe try lightening up a little.

Second point, who are you to say we're in a tangle, and that we have nothing to trade with? Truly bizarre comments.
