During the daily announcements of new expansion bids in the SFA, the Las Vegas Bears were quietly hoping that it wasn't leading to expansion Fonzie putting on his expansion waterskis and jumping over the expansion shark and they were, more importantly, putting the finishing touches on their revamped logo.

The much beloved Roger Merrett dreaming of a pair of jugs had to be replaced, yet the Bears were looking for something to equally reflect the light hearted approach of the original logo. We were toying with a logo in line with most in the league, before deciding upon a logo which we believe portrays the easy going nature of the new team.

The Bears felt this logo to be different from the other logos in the league and when pressed if this was just a cutsie logo aimed at flogging merchandise, targeting children with the aim of introducing them to the evils of gambling at a young age and a possible cartoon show spinoff the Bears simply answered "Yes".

The Bears are getting ever closer to filling out a full list, but are still open to approaches from players.

This is expected to be the last public update by the Bears until the conclusion of the SFA Grand Final.
