Clubs passed in 2014 after, I understand, they couldn't be sure he was committed to footy. He was (and may still be, for all I know) a HUGE gamer, and was even looking at a US gaming scholarship at one point: http://www.watoday.com.au/afl/afl-n...se-footy-over-video-games-20140630-zsqlq.html

Anyway, he spent the year at Redlands and won the NEAFL Rising Star. After playing mostly forward in the past, he was sent down back and had some very good games.

He's athletic, 194cm and I reckon his closing speed and intercepts have been terrific this year (though I've no data on that).

Can take a grab:

I imagine his interviews will be important again, and nothing says he has to play AFL, but I reckon he'll be looked at and I for one hope he gets a gig at an AFL club at the upcoming 2015 draft.

I like him and along with Adams, Levicki and Keough to name a few who haven't been on AFL lists, Uebergang should be looked at closely by teams needing to solidify things down back as an example I'll say GWS, Fremantle, Hawthorn, Richmond and Geelong (GWS lack that second beast down back, Fremantle, Hawthorn and Richmond post McPharlin, Lake and Chaplin, Geelong post Lonergan who is closer to retirement).

Getting mature bodied state league KPD's is becoming a more done thing these days rather than developing the body of a later or rookie pick who may end up on the chopping block after a couple of seasons.

Had no idea he was an ex Academy player but and looking post Dan Merrett would be a viable option for Brisbane as well
