How are everyones numbers looking for the season?

In the weekly times it says Trentham only has 36 registered players :( things will get tough there once the injuries start hitting mid-season.
The Saints have lost a lot of players, but this gives the local boys a chance to show their stuff. Sure it will be tough going but with the right attitude the club can still be competitive. Trentham has some very good younger footballers who will need to step up and show that with the right attitude anything is possible.
The club has been in this situation before and fought its way back and it will do so again this time. Hopefully as time goes by other more senior players will come to the club to help out the youngsters and the Saints will be a really competitive unit within the league

1 Royal Park
2 Newstead
3 Carisbrook
4 Campbells Creek
5 Lexton

11 Avoca
12 Maldon
13 Dunolly
14 Talbot

Ladder after Saturday. Now, if only that was the ladder after round 16.
Congratulations to all at Royal Park. It is good to see the Tigers up and about again(Even if it was at the expense of my beloved Saints).
It just goes to show that hard work and dedication can get you places in country footy. Park have been down for a long time and still have a big job ahead of them, but they have the right people around the club to continue on with this improvement
Meanwhile over at Sainter land we will continue to blood our younger players and hopefully pick up a couple of bigger more experienced blokes to lead the way back up the ladder.
Good Luck to all teams in what promises to be an interesting 2013

So Saturday was a pretty good day at Bushy with only the 15s and ressies losing, all netballers won.

I goal umpired the first quarter of the 2s and thought same old same old for us as we were smashed 55-1... to only lose by 13 points was a credit to the boys for not dropping their heads. Some young kids really stood up and took the game on. Had it not been for Adam Balzan being a hack they may have won!

The seniors was great, been a long time coming but we got their. To be honest, the scoreboard doesn't reflect Trentham's effort. I thought they showed great signs, just fell down once it got to half forward. New recruit Trent Pye was best on, with Benny McKay and Shane Gray next best.

Greg kept the boys very level headed after the game, but the song and celebrations gave us all, including all the elder members, goosebumps. Now looking forward to Avoca this week and a big Sunday arvo game against Rovers in round 3.

Love seeing struggling sides salute the judge. Been there myself recently, the Raw emotion when that final siren goes is something you have to be there for!

Here's hoping this is a step in the right direction for the boys at Hedges, and September action is sooner rather than, well, never

Has any ballarat based players attempted the can challenge on a thursday night? On the way home from training sink as many as you can with 1 piss stop. Rich, surely the Talbot boys have? What's the record?

Jay Anderson when he played for Bushy a couple of years ago had 7 from Maryborough to the Miners Rest highway overpass with no piss stop and the driver setting the cruise control on the speed limit. He was nicknamed "seven" for the remainder of the year. Pretty sure I've heard someone has done 9.

Few years ago now we did the "Cruiser" challenge from the Clunes pub to Wendouree. You basically had about 15 minutes to knock down 6 cruisers. Sherman couldn't do it! ;)

with inter league coming up have they picked the side on 2012 form ??
With Joel smith under an injury cloud and also Scott sellers set to miss this week,
What players could step up ??

is this thread dead ??
Tips for June 22nd --- avoca to def. creek; brookers over Steaders; maldon 2 def. dunolly.
Grasshoppers over apple eaters; lexton Tiges to thrash rovers; talbot 2 sneak home from bushy park n Trentham to go down 2 natte swans.

Only discovered last night but awesome initiative by the league to start putting the league highlights and games on the net. It really is great to promote the league for outsiders such as myself to keep an eye on the league and promote the standard well.
Only watched 5 mins but there was some shocking conditions up at newstead against lexton the other week!
