Ah yes that 2007 final against North, great memories and little did we know on that day what was in store despite Comettis comments. The talent of those kittens-they all look so young-the talent of Nathan Ablett, the run of Wojo-so underrated.
Will we ever see such complete football again, either from us or from anyone else, including the 2014 premiers.
The only team possibly capable of that sort of showcase of Aussie Rules at the moment is Port. And there is a connection!

These two stick out for me in regards to ones that haven't been mentioned yet.

Both responding to defeats the week before in unbelievable fashion.

Our first quarter against Hawthorn (in the game Hawk kicked the goal after the siren) was out of the box also.

Two of my favourite memories are in the clips below.

First one was from Round 1, 2010 against Essendon. The Bombers jumped out to a 23 point lead halfway through the 3rd term, 79 to 56, and were about to go further ahead when Jay Neagle marked in front of Harry 35m out directly in front. For reasons known only to himself, Neagle decided to play on, only to get tackled and pinged for holding the ball. From that point on, Geelong kicked 11 of the last 13 goals to go from a 23 point deficit to a 31 point win. The goal at 9:16 of the below clip was simply brilliant. Essendon scored a behind, and we went coast to coast in 3 kicks.

3 rounds after that, we played Port Adelaide at home. After being about 5 goals down halfway through the 2nd term, Port kicked the last 3 goals of the half to go into the main break 10 points down. Geelong went berserk in the 3rd quarter, booting a lazy 11.7 to 1.0, and Port's goal was a result of a 50m penalty.
