Yet another devastating performance by the Barça front 3 this morning, and it got me thinking about some of the great forward lines that I've watched over the years. Early days but I honestly think this attacking trio is the best that I've ever seen.

Individually, their records over the last 2 years have been staggering:

Messi: 86 goals, 42 assists in 91 games
Suarez: 59 goals, 39 assists in 70 games
Neymar: 43 goals 24 assists in 80 games

Have you seen a better, more potent front 3 than the current trio at Barcelona in your lifetime? Given Messi's standing as arguably the greatest player of all time, has there been a better front 3 in the history of the game? Are there any other front 3's you would like to throw into the discussion?

Neymar's yet to prove that he's worth his 50 million pound price tag, he's a good player but he benefits a lot from playing alongside some amazing players. I've seen Suarez and Messi almost singlehandidly drag their club sides into league title contention and be among the best in the world, but I'm yet to see that from him.

To be fair Neymar was brilliant leading the line for Brazil at the WC. I wouldn't say he single handedly dragged them but everything was going through him so it's no surprise they capitulated without him. Messi was absolute gash in comparison but somehow still ended up as player of the tournament.

50 odd goals in 100 games at Santos

And he started at 16/17 years old ...

About 40 international goals in 60 odd games @ 23 yo age

Overrated my ass

Its the Brazilian league, its nowhere near the standard of La Liga/Champions League. International goals are also misleading, they're distorted through friendlies and often don't reflect the quality of the player. Crouch has 22 goals in 42 appearances for England, but no-one would ever describe him as a world class player.

They're shaded by the BBC in goals but they've got everyone else covered

5 of ronaldos goals were against the last sides reserves too

Cheeky pricks

All great players but league stats are bloated out of proportion due to the quality of the league.

BBC has more goals in La Liga and CL. Messi Neymar and Suarez were also soundly beaten in head to head against BBC 3-2. Not knocking them, they've got everyone else covered at least
