Perth took a lot out of Miles I think. He played tired today but even though he was not at his best, he still performed well. Well done by the kid. God knows, we will need his grunt on Friday night

RICHMOND is set to reward Anthony Miles for his remarkable late-season form with a fresh contract extension.

A new two-year deal could be finalised as early as next week for a man who was delisted from bottom-placed Greater Western Sydney and cast on to the AFL scrap heap late last year.

Since his rookie elevation in Round 12, the tough inside ball-winner has gathered 53 clearances – 15 more than any other Richmond player, according to Champion Data.

He ranks second at the club for contested possessions in that time, fifth for total disposals and first for tackles, earning the hard-nosed ball-winner comparisons to a young Tom Rockliff, from Brisbane.

Richmond football manager Dan Richardson said talks with Miles’s manager, Marty Pask, from Essentially Group were progressing well...

Can't say I'd be against another Whiley at RFC. I don't know much about him. Can you/anyone tell us anything scottyyyb or his relationship to Milsey?

Really Selwood like when he gets the ball and drives through packs just to hey that hand ball away just before the whistle for a ball up. It catches opposition mids flat footed as they have given up on the play

A vid was posted a while back on here with him saying how much he looks up to miles. Who was his roommate at the time. And how much he respects choco. Not getting a game at gws. And out of contract at years end. Hopefully he nominates for pre season draft and nominates us as his club of choice. From what iv heard he is a clone of how miles plays but a bit more silky with his disposal. And he is a tallish mid which is good..
