Not the best start to the season, even though we were in it for most of the game. The two rookies in Van_Dyke and Bosley and deaneus are the few that can hold their heads high.

I have really enjoyed the copious amount of drugs and hookers that get thrown your way once you become a Captain in the SFA, but unfortunately it isn't all rainbows and lollipops. Every now and then you have to do something you don't really want to do. I'm talking about list management. We've brought in some fantastic recruits this off-season who I'm sure will all go on to become 3 time Mobbs Medalists, but that also means we have to let some others go.
Eth and I would like to thank the following players for their service to our club and wish them all the best for the future.
LP04, tasmanlvr and DEMON PRIDE
We would also like to announce the official retirement of one of Mount Buller and the Sweet FA's greatest ever players, Deestroy.
Deestroy played a monumental 278 games through out his illustrious career, including 41 for The Mod Squad. He kicked 283 goals and has two Medals named after him; for the best player in the Sweet FA Grand Final and also the player who wins the Best & Fairest award for the Mount Buller Demons every season. He was also our Captain from Season 3 until Season 7.
He was also an inaugural inductee into the leagues Hall of Fame in Season 13.
While Deestroy has been on our team all that time, he has not actually taken the field for quite awhile. Eth and I felt that the time was right; in ours and the leagues 20th season, to finally let him hang the boots up for good. This was not an easy decision to make, but we are both confident that this is the right time to say goodbye. It makes us both proud that we were able to win him his maiden Premiership in Season 18. Few players deserved one more.
Deestroy is also due to receive another honour this season, but that will be announced at a later date.
From everyone at the Mount Buller Demons, we say, thank you Deestroy.
