Me and a mate sang Father and Son in the bar of the Port Albert Pub one night with accoustic guitars. Probably the only time I have ever had a round of applause in my life. We played all night and drank for nothing. Was a great night.

Plugger thought you may be interested in this.

phoenix sounded amazing on triple j this morning...he has an amazing voice in that words just seem to rattle off his tongue with an ability to hold moment/intensify a single letter or sound of that letter.

Hope that wasnt confusing..

Do I like the juggers? Are you joking? Would go as far as to say they are my favourite Australian Act. My copy of dystopia doesn't even play anymore it has been given so many spins.

Why do you ask?

Modular - Leave Them All Behind III

Great compilation album.

Everyone should go and buy a copy. Even i did, and I don't buy hardly any music any more. The label is having a bit of trouble financially of late and would hate to see them go bust.

For those that don't know the following bands are on the label.
Tame Impala
Presets
Cut Copy
Van She
Bag Raiders
Ladyhawke
Avalanches
Canyons
Wolfmother

+ heaps more great aussie bands.

Plus acts on their international label inc.
Soulwax
Klaxons
Whitest Boy Alive
Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Seriously go and buy it. Would hate to see the label die. buy a t-shirt while you are it.

Still not sure what I am doing for new years. When do you have to buy tickets for this?

Got a ticket to the Meredith Music Festival yesterday, so keen. Looking forward to Animal Collective, Bag Raiders, Eddy Current Supression Ring, Yacht Club DJ's and Pharoahe Monch especially

Mayer Hawthorne - A Strange Arrangement

This is my album of the year so far. May sound a bit weird coming from someone who generally listens to electronic music to have a jazz/soul album as my best album of the year but this is just so good. Think of artists like The Temptations, Curtis Mayfield, Sly and the Family Stone, The Impressions, Jimmy Ruffin, Smokey Robinson mixed with Dilla-influenced beats. It's just good to hear those sweet motown harmonies again.

Also The Blueprint 3 is s**t. Save your money.

I don't know you might like it. I guess it is not that bad if you are into commercial R&B stuff, but I was kind of hoping for something along the lines of Blueprint 1 (H.O.V.A). Too many features on this for mine.

The Smiths, such a solid band. Have had their albums on repeat for the last week or so. Morrissey has such great vocals. I haven't listened to any of his solo stuff, is it any good?

Anyone old enough to have seen the Smiths when they were together?
