I despise this bloated, turgid rock-opera dirge with all my heart. Everything about it screams over-blown cliche from the Harley to the scowling intensity of Mr Loaf.

Such disrepect for the 'Loaf......

The GD crew have taken this little piece of s**t to their hearts.

This has got everything: the Fonz, a 'safe kids message', a creepy guy on a slide with a guitar... The US government promoted this campaign widely some years back - education through song. Horrendous. Like getting a sex education chat from your parents only much, much worse.

Ok risking a banning or a warning as these are not good.
First one the song is bad the video average and the second the song is average but the video is really horrid.

What a great campaign.

Obviously it was set up to protect children from people like this.

I had an album with that song on it...I think it was "World's Worst Songs" or something

It also had "Fluffy" on it

EDIT: World's Worst Records it was, obviously

Eldo, to sing that flat consistantly takes incredible skill.

Or several shooters & a couple of lay-backs.

Zager and Evans warbled a huge hit called 2025 sometime back before man landed on the moon. Some people have that song in their worst of list, but if they dug a little deeper they'd find this hideous ditty about a rapist who nails his hand to a prison wall (or something). It's stomach-churning stuff.

I present you with 'Mr Turnkey'.

The thing is, the original of that is lovely, Everley Brothers?

Gram and Emmylou did the definitive version, I reckon

Yep, Everley Brothers it was. The Big O recorded a beautiful version in 61... just perfectly suited to his voice. Obviously can't be posted here.

We were a bit off key today, so here's a band that was also a 'bit' off key.

My wife has always wanted this song played at her funeral.
