apologies...what I meant to say, was that I couldn't beleive that people would not have Matthews in the top 5.

Despite winning the MVP award and coming 3rd in the brownlow in 1982, Matthews was at his peak in the mid-70s winning 6 B&Fs and doing well in the Brownlow from 1972 to 1977. So nobody under the age of 40 would have really been able to appreciate seeing him at his best.

Most people have basically the same names (no brainers) and I agree wholeheartedly but can't believe Peter Knights hasn't been mentioned.
Krakouer Brothers, Maurice Rioli and Daicos were truly magicians.
Like the mention of Michael Roach as a great full forward!! Agree.
I saw Blight at his best also and think he was overlooked on many lists.
Players I only saw on TV SOO games who captured my imagination and
got a mention : Stephen Michael & Garry McIntosh.
