Yep but are you really in any position to make such an assessment at this point? How is it obvious they were given poor instructions and how can you place such trust in the opinion of a layman?
I have actually met laymen who say this stuff ^. I think the main thing they're ignoring is the fact he said he was ISIS. He didn't act like it, and his history should've suggested he was just looking for attention, but the cops either took that aspect seriously and figured he had explosives (they didn't want to shoot his backpack) or they thought he was a joke (more likely considering his history; their refusal to entertain any of his demands; the use of Police rather than anti-terrorism forces) and that he wouldn't kill anyone. That may well have been true if the hostages didn't force his hand by regularly escaping. Can't blame them for that of course... Except if you want to be a real d**k and imagine that you wouldn't have left the women behind... one of the early escapees did look like the most physically-capable hostages, but the old guy had already run so maybe he expected the bombs to detonate or bullets to start spraying... Point is, we weren't there. Who knows what could have been done.

Yes she was but franly not sure what she said as I zoned out. think I will keep watching (when I can) as I find it quite incredulous it has as serious audience.
What makes you think that? If you look at the comments on his blog, as an example, they're overwhelmingly right wing. Maybe his TV audience is different...

Bolt's success is that he has tapped into the lower socio-economic groups in society who are on the whole less educated. They relate to his scepticism on global warming because they don't want to change their habits, they agree with his views on ethnic groups and society becoming overly politically correct, so for him to sell his Liberal propaganda is a lot easier for him.
Have watched it 3/4 times to date, merely for laughs but if I wanted to watch objective new reporting about what is happening in politics, would give it a miss.
A very good point, you can add the word 'racist' to that as well. Most of those who use both words on here haven't got a clue what they mean.
