Hudson asking the question of whether we are actually any good,

Robbo replying

"You CAN'T not be any good and still beat the top teams convincingly, North's forward line is non-existent, Drew's played 2 good games and 12 crap ones, so are they winning these games in spite of an inept forward line? Which is a pretty good result?"

Media is as lost as we are on the subject.

our inside 50 numbers have been a concern all season. we're not attacking enough or dominating the midfield.
but that wasn't the problem on the weekend. carlton sat with numbers behind the ball, flooded the backline when we had the ball and basically played us on the counter attack. this doesn't happen against top teams and our coaching team had no answer for it.

Wow, great analysis "On The Couch".

Were talking about the GWS forwards, Sheahan noted that "North would have to have a look at one of these kids, North desperately need another kew forward with Drew Petrie is in decline"

Healey stated that the greatest mistake you can make in football is getting your list management wrong, and he believes thats where we are at. That at the end of the year a desicion should be made and acknowledgement that this group might not be able to win us a flag.

Then listed

Goldstein
Thompson
McDonald
Brown

As the only un-tradable players on our list and that our only players with any current trade value are Black and Ziebell.

Dunstall noted that Cunnington would have value as well, and that it must be frustrating for B.Scott to see what we are capable of, and what we are also capable of.

Little bit of Brad Scott analysis and his light-footed approach to the boys development over the last few years.

Healy wouldn't know the first thing about list management.

I wouldn't be so sure, we have a LOT of players with no trade value!

Atley: terrible poster on the bay
Gibson: Plays for Hawthorn, not north
Hanson: Terrible Forward
Lindsay Thomas: Can't kick for s**t
Greenhead: Never chosen to play, so obviously cant

The list of nil value players goes on and on!

Agreed on Healy being a clueless w***er but at least the analysis is going past Boomer being our best player being our only biggest/only problem

Agreed on Healy being a clueless ****** but at least the analysis is going past Boomer being our best player being our only biggest/only problem

He completely wrote us off on friday night, so probably don't expect too much good stuff from his end. But if we do come good. Tell him to ead

Footy Classfied-

Black got a whack...no news of carrying a shoulder injury.

Highlights of many quotes from the year explaining how no one knows why we are inconsistent.

Forward line- poor defense stats.

Comments re Boomer/Scott hard on players,

... and an interview with Petrie after todays review saying it was an honest an open discussion about the game....wonder what was said about DalSantos kick along the ground 2nd Q on the wing to three Blues buddies...

We are bottom four on the ladder for keeping the ball in our forward line.

Duck also gave the blowtorch to a dozen current ruckmen including Goldy who don't put their big bodies in harms way.

I then gazed out the window into the cold night and thought of what Corey MCK did 1994-1999....small tear....

They also had a list of players comparing them to ziebell in the same draft and his stats are below par

In fairness 2008 was a ridiculous draft. Absolutely filled with stars.

Nahas at 1.5 and Thomas at 1.2 are the only forwards averaging >1 tackle per game.
Huge.

At one stage in the third Carlton had 13 tackles inside 50. We had 5.

Watched on the couch and found it interesting that Clarko gave North a whack over the handling of the Brian lake incident, named Petrie as one who should not have commented before the tribunal, amongst others, suppose it was ok for him, Hodge, Lewis, and Burgoyne to put their 2 bobs worth in

For me, IMO that was the worst thing I have seen all year from someone in the leadership group.

It really shits me when the media smash players they know would be carrying injuries. It's just lazy. They did it with Buddy early, some writing him off, massive lol. They've done it with Swan, clearly injured. Now they are saying Black and Ziebell have gone backwards, both playing injured. What's next? Are they going to have a crack at Geelong because of their development of Menzel? w***ers

Corey wouldn't be a Ruckman these days.

Corey would be a KPF.

In 10 years he'd be a midfielder.

they are in the right to smash players who are playing unless the clubs come out and tell everyone x player is carrying an injury. Collingwood finally admitted swan was injured but we have heard nothing from north therefore if he is fit to play seniors then he should cop is right whack. He didn't seem injured against the hawks 2 weeks ago.
