Freo are cooked here I'd say. They're looking a bit shaky for September. They'll want to hit their straps soon but they've still gotta play the Hawks

They just havent been at their best this year
They are so structured that they rely to much on individual brilliance for goals and the falling away of Pavlich Walters and Mayne has ment they just cant score enough, Combine that with the dropping off of McPharlin and they just arent quite good enough

Sylvia should be making a difference for them but well... Its Sylvia

And Fyfe's shoulder seems to be in a pretty ordinary way, so their best player may be doing himself a mischief trying to play on in this match. Geelong will test the thing out at every opportunity.

Fyfe goes down, Fremantle may as well start preparing for next season.

If I could take 1 player from any team in the AFL he would be the man

Fyfe, Heppell, Parker, Treloar, O'Meara are the young midfielders I'd like to snaffle and pencil in for the next 10 years.

Frees still 30-10 so someone has gotten in their ear and told them to put it away. Plenty of stuff they were calling earlier is now play on. Tremendous consistency, folks.

Fremantle beating Geelong would be the upset win of the year, according to Luke Darcy. Definitely bigger than St Kilda over Freo or GWS over Sydney.

Get involved umpires, should be right in there singing the song with the Cats boys.

The biggest sporting competition in australia shouldnt have different rules every quarter
You wouldnt see the referee in a premier league game change rules at half time

Fyfe is deceptively strong though, when he tackles he can smash blokes into the ground
Watts couldnt tackle stuff out of toothpaste

Deceptively?!

Look at the size of Fyfe's legs - he's an animal.

His upper body looks skinny though, He looks like James Hird but he plays like Michael Voss ( with marking )

Upper body strength is overrated in footy, leg strength is way more important.

Watching Lynch for Adelaide atm. Wouldn't mind going after him to add to our tall forward stocks. Not the most talented but strong and presents.

He currently struggles for a permanent spot with Walker, Jenkins and Pods in the team. Having said that, he'll probably feature more for them with Pods in his twilight.

Edit: Viney incident cost him games. Thanks for the reminder Captain Jack

Wish this game was on free-to-air... sounds like an end-to-end bonanza of fun. Adelaide don't seem to have a problem playing open games of footy.

Good game of footy, yeah... Although Lynch is just being stretchered off with a neck injury. He's had a terrible year with injuries (ahem Viney) but is definitely best 22 at Adelaide. Good player.

Bulldogs pick up a few good talls to play up forward and back and they're going to molest some teams in a few years. Gun midfield talent and Bontempelli and Stringer are going to make nightmare match ups resting forward if they can pick up a quality tall to play behind Crameri.
