Not earth shattering in world terms, but an interesting little snapshot on the reality of life for Chinese villagers next to the border of their ally.

Must be hell in North Korea if even some of their military is starving (N.K. has a policy of 'military first', meaning the military gets preferred allocation of resources and food).

How long before Kim Jong Ding Dong gets sent to the great korean socialist workers paradise in the sky? Although the fall out from such an event would get very ugly.

I would like to go there. And visit the museum of American war crimes.

I have read it is very good.

The first thing I thought of as i read the thread was how the feds in America are supplying intelligence, arms and general support to drug cartels in Mexico that supply drugs to them, that are prepared to attack all those drug cartels linked to communists and south americans who previously have had americans conduct insurgencies to destroy socialism.

.

My parents never saw fresh fruit from 1939 to 1948 while growing up in England, yet american soldiers in France, who were twiddling their thumbs as Hitler and Stalin went at it, were getting chocolate cakes, stockings, fruit ect..

Food for thought.

shagging french women too
Thats why they were given stockings. Yet my grandmother didn't see any of them for years either. My mother, her brother and sister all had to have heart valve transplants later in life because of the poor diet under so many years of rations. My father was lucky, his old man ran a community garden, as his old man taught him during ww1.

The americans deliberately played the war out as long as possible, to weaken everyone they could. Armed and profited from all sides in the European theater. The north korean war musuem would have a section on that, if its as good as you've been told.

Lets see Charlie Hebdo cartoons on that?

You really have very little idea about history, do you.

First thing I thought of when I read the thread was 'what a brutal disgusting regime the Kim dynasty run in North Korea and the awful incomprehensible life the people of the country lead', but yeah, sure AMERICA

dont think north korea tourism that easy sadly

It's relatively easy to get a tourist visa but the experience is a restrictive guided tour and rather weird.

Visited the Demilitarized Zone and Joint Security Area from the South myself. Whole area is pretty weird. -12 and snow probably helped haha.

Don't think I'd go to the North though. Be a bit confronting and it sounds like the least fun tourist destination.
