Consistent runs, averaging over 80 would be a good start. You would be talking Phil Hughes type of seasons to force your way into a test side though!

so no bowlers gets picked without 60 wickets in a season, and batsmen get picked without averaging 80.

the west indies have more chance of fielding a test team this summer than we do.
