last year we used 2 first round draft picks as you have to use 2 in 4 years. We've already used our 2.

Remember we can trade future draft picks.

If he is returning to Melbourne(city).

Geelong, Collingwood and Melbourne have all already traded out their 1st round pick for this year and Carlton's got Geelongs 1st rounder so it's been most likely downgraded.
We have 2x first rounders and a second round pick at our disposal.

We are not out of the picture here.

I'd be interested to know what happens if we do trade out of the 1st round in '16 and '17 as to what happens in 2020 when they look back at our previous 4 years and see that we've only used 2 first rounders in the 2016 - 2019 drafts...

We used first rounders in 14/15.....the 4 year period for that is 14/15/16/17..........we than have from 16 - 19 to use another 2 first rounders.

At least that is how I read the rules, 4 years from the last 2nd 1st rounder used in the preceding 4 year block, which for us is 2015. Could be wrong knowing how the alf make it up as they go.

There would be a major go home factor with this guy. Don't want him
