Instead of crying about Talia, they are missing the real point.

Tex made Alifatty look fourth rate. Yet Schulz only got on the scoreboard when the game was done. Much like Hawkins last week.

Is a shame we don't have a genuine second KPD, spuds like Clarke and Butcher have taken advantage of that the last two weeks. Would hate to think that could cost us in a real game.

We only made Butcher look good so they keep the spud on their list

I guess not many of them who have just discovered "their" club remember Daryl Wakelin. He was a master at hanging on and impeding his opponent and getting away with it.


All great fullbacks have the ability to hold their opponent back (ie scragging) and get away with it. It is something Carlile needs to learn. To often there is to much separation between him and his opponent. Tex took full advantage of this. As he did in the second Showdown last year.

Many have and as you say it is part of their role, however some have the ability to get away with more than others and IMO that is a skill in itself.

So the umps just give him a free pass all the time for some reason and he does things that no other key defender does? The only people saying that he scrags are Port people and not surprisingly that's because he beat Schulz with ease. Clearly Port players don't get beaten unless there's cheating involved. Why would anyone hold a grudge against any guy getting an opportunity at being a senior coach? What happened with Walsh was the exact same thing that happened with Ken.
He finally got to prove himself as a senior coach after so many years as an assistant, and how cool has it been for everyone in the AFL to see him succeed?
I didnt see Gold Coast supporters acting like little kids when Ken went to PAP. They werr happy for them.
But not the PAPers, no sir. He had no right to further himself, he should have stayed at PAP as an assistant for the rest of his life.

They hold a grudge purely because of Kochies whinging to all and sundry about what happened when they lost Richo. If they are too stupid too work out the difference between Richo and every other coach in history then explaining it to them is a waste of time.

I wore a Port cap at the Port/Melbourne game here in Alice Springs last year. I hope that's considered the same thing.
