100% this. we'd be in fair strife if we didn't have him, his ruck work, and his goals. has been great every game so far. suits the power guernsey and can only hope his (and westhoffs) potential will come to surface once lobster is back.

Paddy wins taps over players so much taller than himself partially through athleticism but mainly because of his superior timing. Whereas his opposing ruckman may be say 205 cm and have a reach of an extra 50 cm while Paddy is 196 cm with a reach of 45 cm, if Paddy is at the top of his jump and the other ruckman on the way down they are equal or Paddy is even over him. And he is able to direct the ball superbly when not falling. It is just human physics that it is more difficult to perform any action when the body is falling. This would apply more with ruckwork as the ball is getting more and more out of reach.

Completely agree all around, if it wasn't for Paddy winning a lot of the Centre Clearances against the Roos, we wouldn't have just scraped through the Nail Biter, it may have taken him a couple of games to settle in with the other boys, but if the Roos game is anything to go by, he's found his niche and has begun the success we all dreamed he would add to the playing group!
