All I know is Kevin Walsh was one of very few who could control Brereton which were big parts of the 84/85 flags, and Dean Wallis was a massive part of both the 93 and 00 flags.

Brereton kicked 8 in the 1985 grand final.

Oh yeah I agree. I think you'd find a few more success stories too. It would just be an interesting list I reckon.

His first top 5 that worked out I'd say would be Carey, Walsh, Heard, Nobby Clarke and Roger.

Sheeds molded those blokes into great players.

As for C.Johns...it was never gunna happen. Annoys me they persisted with him for so long.

I recall him coming with big wraps provided we could get him over his hip injury (didn't he shatter it or something?). IMO, sadly, it was to be an injury that held him back for way too long and by the time he could get a run at it, the game had passed him by.

Yeah if I remember correctly it was said his hip was shattered more than someone being hit by a car. Was lucky to be walking let alone playing footy.
