Phillip Hughes Cup - Australian Cricket Draft 2014/15

[Ashton Agar]

Bringing back a draft I did a couple of years back. Hoping to do one every season from here on in. Decided to dedicate it to the late great Phillip Hughes. There is a few basic rules:

1. Eligibility rule - The player must be eligible to be selected for test cricket for Australia as of the first test that summer. This means NO Johan Botha and NO Big Bash internationals.

2. Draft Order - The Draft with be a snake draft, decided by random.org

3. The tragedy rule - Hopefully this is the only year this rule is required ever. Phillip Hughes CANNOT be selected. May he rest in peace.

4. There is no time limit, but it is expected everyone commits and doesn't take too long to pick.

5. Winner will be decided by a poll that will run for 7 days. Participants can choose when her to vote or not, but they can not vote for themselves.

6. There will be 6 teams with 12 players each.

I was thinking maybe just the one, as I think you can only have one international in the team. See W.A with Allenby and Hogan and the Redbacks with Botha, but maybe make it the last round of the draft? I think it'd be weird with people drafting domestic players then an international player drafted alongside them
