Was quite bored today so thought to myself if the Poms were in crises and the World Cup was moved to Australia what would the draw be, had a go at it, kept the same pools and dates just swapped one of Australia and England's games over as we would be host nation. Tried to give it a bit of a 'classic Rugby feel' (Ballymore) and cater to full stadiums.

You must have been pretty bored haha!!

But nice effort. It'd be great to see. Unfortunately there probably won't be another RWC in Australia for a while. I would guess not until 2027 or 2031. I remember going to a few matches in 2003. Saw a cracker between Wales and NZ at ANZ and remember watching Georgia play South Africa at the SFS...Georgia did a lot better than expected and the crowd went nuts when they scored a try. By the time it comes back to Australia I'm guessing there'll be very few if any easy beat teams.

I'm sorry but the MCG wouldn't host a Rugby match cause you have a 1 week change from the AFL Grand Final and the match that you are putting in.

On looking at this again i have realised many mistakes, such as multiple games in the same city on the same day. However what your suggesting is not right, Australia v England in the pool stages as a one off game at the MCG would easily sell out, and the date it is held on is specific to the cricket pitches being dropped in just after it, and it fits all schedules. And obviously this is just my opinion. So i truly am sorry.
