Anyone desperately in need of a footy fix AIS under18 vs Collingwood 2's
Walsh and Clem Smith spend a lot of time playing in the centre square.
Both of them are two of the better players on the day.
If Clem can play like that against men with no fitness, then we have the steal of the draft.

Well, why not get it right?
Is the information incorrect because:

1. Errors are made.
2. We list the wrong heights and weights knowingly.

Where's the justification for either? I don't get it and I know..........it's not important........this isn't important.......that isn't important.......and before you know it that becomes the signature............close enough is good enough. That's not good enough. Excellence should run throughout the organisation.
but what if the taller person is ever so slightly thinner than the shorter person & is in fact the same weight? or if the taller one took a bigger crap in the morning ? so many variables.

Reckon there'd be around 10kg difference between Sheehan and Russell, must've been some sort of turd. :D

Macca’s player pre-season critique by guernsey number, 1-10

Andrew Walker - “We’re managing his knee problem right now and while we had to decrease his workload, we’re very confident he’ll play Round One.”

Troy Menzel – “Troy has had a pretty consistent pre-season. He rolled an ankle at the time of the Buller Camp about a month ago, but it only kept him on the sidelines for a week, but he’s fine and back in full training. He’s a real talent, a player we’d like to see go through the midfield at some stage.”

Marc Murphy – “Marc’s been tracking well. His pre-season’s been solid.”

Bryce Gibbs – “As with ‘Marc, Bryce has been training well. The new responsibility that comes with the vice-captaincy has been great for him.”

Chris Judd – “With Chris getting older we’re managing him closely, so he didn’t have a huge pre-season in November and he had a couple of weeks off in December. He’s been training pretty well full-on since January, he’s had an extra day off through the week, and he’s feeling good. He seems to be really enjoying his football at the moment”

Kade Simpson – “Kade hurt an ankle just prior to the training camp at Mt Buller which set him back a week or two, but he’ll play the last couple of NAB Challenge games and will be right for Round One.”

Dylan Buckley – “Dylan’s been a consistent performer throughout the whole pre-season. He’s been training well. He’s right on track, he looked quite exciting last year / running off half-back and we’re looking forward to seeing some real improvement in ‘Dyl’.”

Matthew Kreuzer – “As has been well-documented, Matthew faces 4-6 weeks in a moonboot, then will build up to play early in the season.”

Patrick Cripps – “Another consistent performer through the pre-season and one of the real standouts on the training track. Paddy’s timing wasn’t great last year. He got some good games into him at AFL then got tired given that it was his first season. He then went back to the VFL and broke his leg in the first game. That really put him behind the eight-ball and he really couldn’t crack it for another senior game, but we all look forward to seeing him play a lot more senior games this year.”

Matthew Watson – “A very durable player whose pre-season has been uninterrupted. He finished off last season playing up forward, but he’ll be tried at both ends through the pre-season and we’ll see how he goes.”

Macca’s player pre-season critique by guernsey number, 11-20

Rob Warnock – “Robbie’s so far completed a very, very good pre-season. He’s got a bit of a tight hamstring at the moment, so he won’t play the intra-club this week, but will be looking to run out against West Coast in Mandurah.

Blaine Boekhorst –
“Our first round draft pick obviously, who is also tracking well. He’s been on a 75 per cent load, simply to allow his body to get used to it all, and you’ll see him play NAB Challenge.”

Chris Yarran –
“A calf problem sustained at Mt Buller interrupted Chris’s pre-season campaign, but he’s okay now. Like Robbie Warnock, Chris won’t play in the intra-club, but we’ll be looking to him to run out against the Eagles.

Liam Jones –
“Liam’s fitted in really well with the group and continues to train really hard. Obviously he’ll be another good tall forward option for us.”

Sam Docherty –Sam’s stepped up through the pre-season and really emerged as a leader, which is fantastic for him and for us.”

Dillon Viojo-Rainbow –
“Like Blaine he’s on a 75 per cent load, but he’s really impressed out on the track. He’s got a really nice kick on him and he’s been performing quite well in the trial games.”

Sam Rowe –
“Sam’s had an injury-uninterrupted pre-season and as we know really cemented his place down back last year as that tall dour defender who helped out Michael Jamison on the bigger forwards. . . more of the same from Sam this year.”

Kristian Jaksch –
“Kristian suffered a foot injury quite early in the pre-season period, but he’s fully recovered from that now and has played out in the last couple of intra-club games.”

Cameron Giles –
“Cameron unfortunately suffered a foot injury early in the pre-season . We won’t see him until mid-year and hopefully he’ll get 6-8 games under his belt.

Nick Holman –
“Nick’s had a slightly interrupted pre-season. He copped a quadricep strain really early and ITB stiffness down the side of his leg, but he’s building up to full fitness under a modified program, he’s going okay and in contention for Round 1. He’s a real ‘hard head’, he loves attacking the ball and he’ll be fit for the first bounce.”

Kade Simpson – “Kade hurt an ankle just prior to the training camp at Mt Buller which set him back a week or two, but he’ll play the last couple of NAB Challenge games and will be right for Round One.”

something about this seems ominous

Stoked to hear that giles will get some gametime at the tail end of the season - even if it is the reserves, he will be a future star for us IMO.

We'd be happy to have Giles and Jaksch developing together.

If not this year, we'll want both on the park the next............Just get Giles right this time CFC.

Macca’s player pre-season critique by guernsey number, 21-30

Ciaran Sheehan – “It’s been a case of onwards and upwards for Ciaran. He got senior games under his belt last year, which is remarkable when you consider he’d only ever played a dozen games or so ever. We’ll be looking forward to seeing him running off the half-back line in 2015.”

Jason Tutt – “Jason’s got through the pre-season without a hitch and we’ll be looking to him to be that player coming off the wing with that penetrating kick into the forward line.”

Lachie Henderson – “Lachie’s been solid this pre-season. He’s obviously one of those types who could play at either end. He provides a forward target for us or can deliver in a key defensive role. He’s been very good, and his place in the leadership group has brought with it further responsibility, which he’s embraced.”

Mark Whiley – “Mark has suffered some achilles soreness throughout pre-season. He had a minor procedure done a couple of weeks ago to free up the sheath around the tendon. He’s building up to full training as we speak and he’ll be fit for Round One.”

Clem Smith – “Clem’s going well. He’s another of our new boys so he too is obviously on a 75 per cent workload. It’s a big step from Under 18s to our regime, but Clem’s got his bodyfat down enormously which is great, and he’s done a very good job. I think he might be an important player for us up forward. He’s got some tricks. He’s an exciting player.”

Jayden Foster – “Jayden experienced a stress reaction in his foot a number of weeks ago, but he’s back in training now. He won’t play in the intra-club Friday, but may get an opportunity later in the NAB Challenge series. Jayden’s a leading, marking full-forward-type and a very nice kick.”

Dennis Armfield – “Dennis got through pre-season unscathed – a far cry from his pre-season of 2014 where he had knee issues and really couldn’t get going. We didn’t see the best of him last season but we look forward to him having a better one this time around.”

Tom Bell – “Tom experienced thumb problems last year which caused us some headaches with an infection in that wound that kept him out longer than we would have liked. But he’s trained well through the pre-season, and there’s been no sign of any recurring problems with the thumb.”

Bill Gowers – “Another new boy, the son of Hawthorn’s and Brisbane’s Andy Gowers, Billy’s looked quite lively. He’s a running defender and as a rookie he’s unlikely to be a chance at senior level for a while unless someone ends up on the long-term injury list. In saying that, we’re still likely to see him in the NAB Challenge.”

Blaine Johnson – “Having been elevated from the rookie list last year, Blaine did pretty well. His pre-season has been fine and he’s another will be looking to for further improvement.”

Is it just me or does this suggest that the brains trust have earmarked Jason to replace Robbo (minus the hyper-physicality, of course)?
