Predictions for our first 5 games

Herald Sun have written their predictions for each team's first 5 games. This is what's written about Collingwood

Hawthorn and Sydney are set to bolt out of the blocks, and SuperFooty reckons the cards have fallen the right way for North, Richmond and the Eagles.

On the other side of the coin, Collingwood plays four 2013 finalists in the first five rounds, with the only exception the Kangaroos, who most pundits expect to leap into the eight this season.

COLLINGWOOD

Fremantle (ES), Sydney (ANZ), Geelong (MCG), Richmond (MCG), North Melbourne (MCG)
Prediction: 1-4
Very tough early test for Nathan Buckley's revamped side. The Pies usually win at ANZ Stadium and have a good recent record against Geelong, but they will have to be at their best to keep the streaks alive. Collingwood hasn't lost to Richmond since 2007 so we'll give the Pies that one.
ROUND 1 Collingwood v Fremantle, Etihad Stadium

ROUND 2 Sydneys v Collingwood, ANZ Stadium,

ROUND 3 Collingwood v Geelong, MCG,

ROUND 4 Richmond v Collingwood, MCG,

ROUND 5 Collingwood v North Melbourne, MCG,

4-1 or 5-0 we can win each game.

The only one I am not sure would be Sydney because of the Buddy Factor

I'm not sure that The Buddy Factor will be a factor.
He likes to roam far and wide for his kicks.
Yes, he kills us at the G but with ANZ being a smaller ground it might not suit him as much.
He usually does his damage against us with either his running ability or freak goals.
If the ball gets bombed long and high we should have him covered.
Id be more worried about Tippett.

The first game against the Dockers is so crucial, if we can win that at absolute worst we will be 2-3 after 5 games and still in touch with the top 8.

If we lose to Freo though, then lose to the Swans we could be in for a long season.

Fremantle - Should start as the underdog despite the game being in Melbourne. Fremantle are the type of side we'll struggle against, having a tight knit defense and durable running both ways. 30% chance of winning.

Sydney - We play well in Sydney but the Buddy Franklin factor plays a huge part in favoritism. Has been our kryptonite for a long time. We beat Freo, probably start favorites. 40% chance of winning.

Geelong - Think they are finally on the decline. And we havent struggled against them since 2011. 80% chance of winning.

Richmond - Huge danger game but can't really see any area where they can get on top of us. We usually hold Riewoldt pretty well so can't really see them kicking a winning score against us. 70%

North Melbourne - One that could go either way IMO. North are the type of side where you cant look at previous form, or take previous weeks into consideration. 50%

Realistically, I'd be pleased with 3-2 and absolutely stoked with 4-1 or 5-0. We'll be giving other sides a massive head start though if we are indeed 1-4 or 2-3.
