Premiership Coach 2011

Have tried out the 2015 lists and getting into a game is fine, but whenever I click on contracts it shits itself and shuts down. Don't know if anyone else has had this problem. Glad I worked it out before starting a season than at the end.

I believe after some of the season, or a full season is played, it will start working again. My guess for why it doesn't work at the beginning is that some clubs are probably over the 40 normal players + 6 Rookies limit.

Playing a career as North when this happened:

That Adelaide forward line is horrifying though.

Poor Bickley only had 3 touches for the game, no hitouts and 3 frees against. Finished on -2 DT points. Was absolutely monstered by big Jerry Melrose who had a whopping 46 hit-outs.

Playing on the default lists as Richmond (simming games) and won the premiership in my 4th year, Urquhart, Hurn, L.Henderson,A. Swallow, Frawley, Mumford, Schofield, Higgins, N. Jones and Crameri were the players I had traded for that were in the side. Gavin Urquhart has been amazing the 2 season I have had him, very consistent never has less than 10 disposals in a game. Led the league in hard-ball gets 2 years in a row and was AA in my most recent season. Heath Shaw was terrible in the 2 seasons I had him, Hurn a much better option. Crameri has averaged 17 touches and 1.5 goals a game playing on a HFF which as been good as most players I put there suck.

Also had a bizarre instance where a 71 rated small forward kicked 10 goals 4 times in a row in the reserves, I brought him into the senior side as sub for rd23 and the finals and he averaged 15 touches as a sub and I don't think he came on early since I had no injuries in the game. Before the 10 goal efforts he had been mediocre in the reserves, not sure if him performing so well is a bug or a glitch or something.

Some players seem to never get a Brownlow vote regardless of how well they play, Jack Riewoldt has kicked 400 goals in 3 seasons, for 3 Colemans and 2 Club B&F, yet has not received a single Brownlow vote.

Just finished my first year with the 2014 Swans list. Jetta robbed of the Brownlow. Missed out by 1 with Ryder winning on 31.

You can get some crazy trades done. I mean I got Ryder for BJack and Towers...

Poor Tippett. Wins the Coleman by 10 (30 by the end of Finals) but doesn't get an AA nod

Edit: was sad when I beat Carlton in the GF. They were 8th by percentage before knocking out 5th placed Richmond, 4th placed Collingwood and 2nd placed Essendon to make a GF appearance.

My best ever PC11 player. Sorry I couldn't get a clearer pic, game crashed when I was planning on screenshoting everything.

He had over 800 disposals at least 5 times and was an all round gun. Played final 3 seasons on either the Half Back/Forward flanks and still did alright. Played until he was 36 and just fell short on 450 games.

One to rival Tanner Alderson!

This is clearly photoshopped.

How did a midfielder win the Brownlow, let alone 2! :drunk:

Just started this up again via the link for the free version.

It's changed a lot from how I remember PC2010 but is still awesome fun.

I remember being involved with player ratings back when this game was first being made.

I am playing as the Hawthorn Falcons and went with a fantasy draft (2014 lists + GWS).

In my first season, I finished 13th simming all the matches :(

Does anyone know if setting a gameplan gets implemented in simmed matches?

I am positive for season 2012 though.

I've brought in Clarkson (midfield coach) and Williams (specialist coach).

Forwards:

Buddy, Cameron, Boyd, Hogan, Rioli (traded in) and Bennell / Martin.

Midfield:

Jack (traded in), Steven (traded in), O'Meara, Wines, Whitfield, Macrae, Kelly, Wallis, Cripps

Rucks:
Kreuzer/Leuy (both traded in) and Grundy

Defence (rubbish)(Edit: I just realised I have 5 crows/ex-crows):
D. Talia, P.Davis, M. Talia, Bock, Laird, B.Smith, D. Buckley / L.McDonald

I figured with a strong midfield and forward line - who needs defence? :p

I've also only got 36 players and a salary cap that is bursting. Not sure how I'm going to manage in 2013, but I'm sure GWS will have the same problem shortly :p

Hey, just curious if anyone has access to the manual for pc 2011? None of the links to the site seem to work for me. Not sure if its been taken down or my uni is for some reason blocking it, any help would be great! thanks :)

Won 6 straight premierships for the first time on PC2011, as Richmond on default lists. Although I think it's about to go downhill very quickly as my squad is very old and I have only $625 free in the cap with a ton of players on heavily back-ended contracts. Here are the players that have played in 5 or more of the premierships: (As well as additional information for those I've drafted)

B&F - 2014

Andrew Swallow - 254 games not sure on goals as now retired - 32yrs
Retired ahead of 2019 season

Edit:
Played the 2020 season and won a 7th straight premiership, mostly thanks to Jaden Partridge having one of the most dominant seasons by a midfielder that I can remember. He won the Brownlow and Media Award with 41 votes and 95 votes respectively, 13 and 22 ahead of 2nd place. Averaged 33.8 disposals and 7 tackles a game while limiting his opponent to 12.8 disposals a game.

Jack Riewoldt retired on 299 games as the games all time leading goalkicker with 1372. Alex Rance also retired after doing his ACL half way through the season.

Of the above listed players all of them played bar Connors (dropped), Fitzroy (injured), Rance (injured), Swallow (retired) and Deledio (injured). Gavin Urquhart's first game of the year was the grand final getting a game thanks to injuries and suspensions. Also traded in Dion Prestia who was AA in his first season as a Tiger, as were Cotchin, Riewoldt, Pearson, Partridge and Hurn.

Patridge's stats are very similar to my gun Rob Chapman. Singled handily won me many games.
I think Partridge still has a fair way to go before he can match Chapman, 10 B&Fs, 13 AAs, 6 Media Awards and 3 Brownlows is crazy. I was surprised how well Partridge went in my most recent season to be honest, as previously while he had been a star both Cotchin and Pearson had been better than him.

Edit: Worth mentioning he took out the Norm Smith and B&F as well, only award he didn't win was the Coleman.

Am I one of the few who coaches the games and just doesn't sim them? If so, anyone have interesting coaching on gameday tips?

Also, been wanting to do a rags to riches story with 2015 lists if someone has them (ones I downloaded didn't work). Saints or Brisbane be better?

This game loves Essendon I feel, btw. Average looking list, lost their ruckman, still 2nd and yet to drop a game

The game very much does love Essendon and hates Sydney and North Melbourne. Not too sure why this is the case but every first couple of seasons Essendon seems to either make the Grand Final or are premiers despite having a s**t list.

Yeah it's strange. Poor Bombers, lost to 8th in a prelim to miss the Grand Final :p

Started a new Swans career with 2011 lists.

Going into my 4th season. With some shrewd trading, managed to get quite a few good players.

In 3 trade weeks I have recruited:
Goddard 89 OVR
Lake 88 OVR
Higgins 88 OVR
Gilbert 87 OVR
Sherman 86 OVR
Porplyzia 85 OVR
Morton 84 OVR
Otten 81 OVR
Mundy 80 OVR
Drummond 80 OVR
Talia 79 OVR - 86 peak
Lynch (GC) 79 OVR - 88 peak
Sloane 78 OVR - 82 peak

Also drafted Blake Rockall with pick 7 in 2011 and is now 78 OVR with 93 peak. Averaging 20 disposals, 20 hitouts, 5 marks, and hits the scoreboard every couple of games.
