Some easy games coming up will see them consolidate their grip on a top 4 spot, but don't fancy their chances of beating Sydney or Hawthorn this September, especially away from home. Slick ball movement is their achilles heel, and I don't see them being able to counter it on wider, more spacious grounds.

Confident we'll knock them off in a few weeks too.

Well if they finish 5th certainly.
The difference between 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th is magnified for a team like Fremantle too, but they're not dead yet.

Sydney, Hawthorn, Fremantle, Geelong, Port Adelaide have all gone through some very rough patches during the year. Anything could happen in September really. Putting together 22 H&A games is one thing, putting together a month of finals football is another.

This loss will actually help them in the long run. Ross won't let them rest on their laurels now. Their draw is still easy enough to finish Top 2 and once they lock in a home PF you might as well lock in the GF

Not entirely.

But you can put your house on a Sydney v Hawthorn GF, with Sydney to win by about 4 goals.

Not to put a fine point on it. :D

Hmm actually having a look at the live ladder, the % drop from today could be costly. Hawthorn will probably pip them to 2nd on percentage.
