Yeah we all did. The thing that you might have missed is that yeah we played shithouse against the Dogs, but we did turn it on for a quarter and nearly stole that game with 1 qtr of footy. The game against the scum, well, yeah, we were shithouse all day, went into the last qtr and kicked 7 goals, unfortunately we leaked goals at the other end. But we did kick 7 in the last qtr. As for the games against the tanker and the lions, if we kicked straight, both games were sealed before the big break. Its not as bad as you suggest. We match up on the dawks, thats the thing that keeps us a chance against them and we do have that mental edge, because last year, i am tipping most here were saying the same about that game and we made them look slow and reamed them.

Problem is we've lost a lot of the run we had last time that made them look slow. Lids, white, Foley. Plus arguably weakened defense and ruck. Out of form mids. If we pull this off, I'll be surprised.

We have looked good in patches but whats our chance of coming into form and playing 4 intense, hard running footy against a top 2-4 side, despite the past.

FWIW, I know it was only the Lions, but just got a feeling that things were coming together in that last qtr. In the past we would have gone to water. I actually forgot to mention the Suns game. We were s**t for the most part of that game, but with flashes of what we know we can do, we reeled them in and barring a a couple of fluff jobs and a couple of unlucky bounces, had we put the nose in front in that game we get the points too.
The only thing we need to fix is when we have the ball on a string and move it fast into I50, we need to maximise our ascendency on the scoreboard

Latest injury list. Looks as though Maric, Rance, Lids and Foley are still definite outs ... wouldn't think rance will come back immediately, a run in the 2s may be on the cards for match fitness ....

Don't forget last time we smacked them on the inside too, it wasn't just our run. From memory we led then 15 clearances to zip in the first quarter.

Just play on, kick long and keep the forward 50 open, isolate Jack. If we do that and we ignore this stymied and pathetic chipping game I'll be happy....and I can see us going down by only 8 goals.

Can't really remember mate, but according to the stats had 27 possies but no scores. If DT is a reliable rating, Cotchin and Ellis had a better day.

astbury held gunston goaless and very quiet last outing, its sad to say that a very short while ago many had astbury a laughing stock and not up to afl standand now hes our best match up not only for gunston, but our only decent matchup when hale and ruffhead go deep... astbury will be vital to our chances and if we can hold their talls who the hell is going to contain their speedy blokes like cyril, hill & co

That's a lot to lose, not sure Lloyd, Gordon, hampson, grimes and arnott can replicate. Plus Griff instead of Vickery and Thomas instead of white. Not confident one bit with this game

There is about a 40 point difference in Hawthorn's favor compared to last year...

and if Hawthorn have an off day and miss load of shots on goal...
