OK, it seems the footy-starved denizens of BF have posted weirder and wackier things with each passing day, and it's not even summer yet! We have already descended into the red-faced realm of fatuous forecasts and preposterous prognostications for the 2014 season.
So I thought I'd better give you a proper thread to do it in, even before we have formally wrapped up the 2013 predictions.
Here's the rules (just so we can hold you to account!):
The odds are hypothetical. I'm not taking any bets.
The points in the red columns are what you score in the Nostradamus Award depending on whether your prediction came true or not.
I will aim to rate each prediction with a dDoD score as soon as possible so it accurately reflects its chances at the time the call was made (but sometimes I will be away from the keyboard for weeks at a time, so you'll just have to trust me
). The dDoD rating is not negotiable (but bribes will be considered).
I will eventually transfer here all the 2014 predictions from the 2013 thread but feel free to transfer them yourself if you like.
I now declare the 2014 redface season OPEN!

- Predict anything you want as long as it's about AFL footy. Player predictions are limited to WB players / tradees / draftees. Club predictions (eg Saints for wooden spoon) can be about any AFL club, not just WB.
- Predictions must be objectively verifiable by the end of 2014 (so no more "Hrovat will be a 200 game player" or "Scharenberg will end up being the best player from the 2014 draft" because those calls take up to 10 years to prove. And you can't say things like "Stringer will go ape when we play Carlton" because ... well WTF does it even mean and how do you prove it?)
- You may make predictions yourself here, but I really like catching people shooting off their mouths in some other thread, so feel free to dob them in with a link to the post if you see any of it. To qualify it has to be a bold and confident statement that brooks no contradiction like "you heard it here first", "bookmark it", "I'm calling it now" or "I'll walk naked down Collins St if it does not happen".
- No pussy calls please. Things like "Libba will play at least 15 games this year" or "Gia to retire some time in 2014". Show some courage!
