I'm not ashamed to admit I cried when Matty Knights retired. I reckon I was about 10 years old.
I know he didn't play that many games for us, but I also got a bit emo when Ben cousins was being chaired off against port. He was one of my favourites when he was at WC then I was so stoked when we signed him. And I just thought he was a class above, and to run out on one leg to play his last game just summed him up. I really hope his darkest days are past him.

Yes the first draft. The next year we signed another SA recruit, possibly the worst ever player to wear the yellow and black Richard Lounder.
