Nice little memory that'll stir the soul of those who grew up watching the footy on channel 7 in the 80's ...

... "Fanfare for the common man" is the name of the tune ...

... It looks like it was bloody cold when they were recording that!

Always loved this - ELP! One of my all time favourites. I think it was composed for one of the Olympic Games. Might look that up.

Edit: yep, the 1976 Montreal Olympics.

Helloween are going to tour Melbourne! These guys are on my bucket list, they are one of the pioneers of power metal. My dad had this on cassette tape and after I heard it my music taste changed forever.

(Terrible film clip though lol)

Been diggin' these blokes since I first heard and was blown away by "Carol"

Caught them at Howler in Brunswick the other week, and teheir recorded material doesn't do justice to their live sound. Gonna catch them in Footiscray nest month

OK, here's Eminem's "Lose Yourself" back again, but with a twist ...

... This girl created this flick to try to get herself a sign language gig ...

... I reckon the result is friggen awesome ...

... Starts a bit slow, but she really gets into it!

I need background music when studying, but it can't be overstimulating..........so this.

Not sure what to what genre you would call this. Maybe jazz fusion progressive rock kind of folkie?

Anyway, it's just instrumental.

If you've got some time, chuck it on in the background. Goes alright, Aussie guy too if that influences anything...... lol

Reminded me of this one during a Pearl Jam concert

Two of the greatest guitar solos ever played in the same legendary song by one of the greatest rock guitarists ever to breathe....
Big call....
Stay till the end...

Just downloaded the entire Stones discography....
68 albums.
2 things.

1. Stones released each album at least twice, mostly 3 time in different guises....original, remixed and/or US, Jap or UK mix. 28 actual albums 4-5 best of's in those.

2. Stones average 1.2 very good songs per album for a total of 29 hits (depending on how fussy you are).

Shows how hard it is to be great all the time.....even for the greatest.

Maybe we are hard on our young players.
