One would assume Dea would be the safest. Helbig and O'Hanlon would be on par.Good.
So: Dea, O'Hanlon, Nahas, Rookies, Helbig...
Nahas and the Rookies are the ones in strife.

Williams was drafted via the PSD so is on the main list and not a rookie.
McGuane is a free agent and can go to a club of his choosing without any compensation likely to be received by us. The only way we would get any compensation for McGuane is if he agrees to be traded as part of a deal which is probably unlikely as he is hoping to stay with the club, not leave.
Is this our current situation then following today's announcement of the new contracts ?
Surely we are not going to move on more than 4-6 from the main list of those remaining in doubt below?
Gone:
- Tuck
- White (confirm tomorrow)
& Not signed for 2014:
- McGuane
- Nahas
- Big O
- Arnot (surely the safest bet out of these guys)
- Dea
- Lonergan
- Helbig
- O'Hanlon
- Derickx
Rookies : Williams, Darrou (safe), Verrier, Simon
With 39 on the senior list currently, lonergan will be demoted back to a rookie or delisted with knights coming back off the long term injury list as we like having 38 players on our main list. Take the players that have now left/wanting to leave: Tuck, Mguane,White and adding our one pick up in hampson leaving 36 spots. So that means we will need to delist one more out of: - -- Helbig (may be retained because has trade value to south australian clubs)
- O'Hanlon (most likely to be retained)
- Derickx
- Dea (good chance to be retained
- Nahas
Leaving Nahas and Detrickx, if we don't pick anyone else up during trade week or delisted free agency period or don't upgrade on just talent or pick 4 kids up in the national draft then one of Nahas or Derickx will be retained to leave 38 players on our senior list.
We need to take a minimum of three picks in the draft. We have brought in Hampson, and McGuane, Tuck and White have left, so we need to delist/trade one more player. Will probably be one of Nahas or Derrickx.Nahas gone.
Derickx gone.
Tuck retired.
White traded.
Mcguane not sure, still waiting for the lions to make a god damn move and get him.
basically 4 gone and still an unknown on mcguane. How many do we need to delist? If we need to delist another player it'll mostly come down to Dea, Helbig and O'Hanlon. Most likely Dea.
Verrier from the rookie list I also see leaving.
Both Nahas & Dericks should be delisted if no suiters
Dericks has been on the list 3 years and we have taken both Hampson & Stephenson as backup meaning no confidence in big X - GONE
Nahas - Unfortunately just does not have the required tools to be a small foward in a top 4-6 team and needs to be upgraded,No point keeping taking up cap/list space
We need to take 3 selections in the draft and we should take all 3 with 1 player being a junior ruckman , 1 Midfielder (#12) , 1 small foward/Mid
Arnot re-signed for 2 more years with an option for a 3rd a few weeks ago.Is this our current situation then following today's announcement of the new contracts ?

Verrier gone and Petts will most likely be upgraded.
