List Mgmt. Rookie Draft

They're eligible to play as of February 2017, which is 2 years after their provisional suspension started. The article you quoted says they are eligible to play in 2017 btw.

I think you've somehow misread it. The bit you've quoted says "eligible to play in 2017", which of course they are. I think they're allowed to start training with the club again next December.

I'm going crazy!!!! I'm positive that's not what it originally stated.

I need a holiday

"who is naive enough to want to play for Carlton?"

So Rookie them in 2017.
Gave them their word early doors.
Im more than happy with Keefe - quality back up from 2017 onwards.
Thomas meh,hes the least likely toget back as regular.
But as we promised so we kept.

Some rookies have a great career, odds suggest most dont.
Im happy enough, i guess

The club obviously thinks they wouldn't last until the 2017 rookie draft, and I agree.
They are not taking them a year early to be nice and kind and fuzzy, they are doing it because they believe that they are the best available players at those picks, even after factoring in the year's suspension.

They are the 'fair trade' club of the AFL.
Everyone gets a chance.
They are drafting/trading to scrape into the 8, then get knocked out early.
