Just a little tease trailer for us they released at E3. Apparently being released on PS4 and XBOX1, not sure on other platforms.

As long as they get the right mix of a pure golf sim and arcade then this could work.

Going to be a little strange buying a PGA tour game without T Woods on it.
 
Still don't understand how these games constantly look so s**t in terms of graphics. I mean there really isn't many players as compared to FIFA/NBA to model, and the actual courses themselves havn't changed in a few years, graphics wise again.
 
It was only a brief look at it really, Still 8 months for them to work on the finer things.
At least we have confirmation that they're making a golf game, which is a start.

Oh didn't see it was 2015 - I swear there was one coming this year (from EA). I know there is another unlicensed game coming to which looks good.

Wait, it should be out this year, the games normally come out a few months before the year of the title.
 
Okay, there has been a few delay's with this, but we're finally getting a next gen EA Sports golf game.

Due for release this month on the 16/07/2015

Confirmed Courses (From Operation Sports)

While it's a major let down on the number of courses available, EA have come out said there will be free time DLC updates with new courses, players etc...etc... down the track. Also from what I've read that this game won't be an annual release (which is terrific news IMO).

3 Gameplay Styles: Arcade, Classic, Tour
Arcade: Simplified joystick swing, ability to tap for boost and adjust spin midflight. There will also be an
aiming mark provided.

Classic: Old school, 3 click style swing.

Tour: Most difficult swing style, takes into effect backswing length and follow through speed into equation, no
spin or boost, Zoom is prohibited in this mode. Hole Map feature to know where to aim.

Custom: You can also customize your gameplay style by choosing your own settings.
 
Online Features/News

Brand New Matchmaking system - Using a shooter-inspired lobby system, you can set your golfer up and choose one of the gameplay styles (arcade, tour, classic) and join a session. You will be place into a ranked session paired with others who have selected that gameplay style. The server will give two courses for the players to vote on.

All users will play through the round simultaneously. Other golfers will be rendered on the course with you! Players will see in real time when their competitors move or swing and their golf balls will be visible while in play

After completing a hole, players will go into spectating mode and have the ability to toggle through different cameras to see their opponents finish.

After the round, players are given wins, losses, and ties for how they fared against each individual in that game.

Unranked games will allow players to set up any course, settings and even custom gameplay styles

You will be able to see other golfers on the course with you as you play.

There will now be a hole clock for online play instead of a shot by shot clock.

Players will be able to take part in weekly, daily and hourly tournaments w/ gamers all over the world. These will be single try tournaments.

Both online H2H and Tournament leaderboards will track each gameplay style separately including Winnings, Events Won, Top 5's, Top 10's, Top 25'2, Top 50's, Top 100's, and Average Finish.
