Footy's back! :D

Hopefully a North win and 200 DT points to Luke McDonald because the rest of my team's s**t.

Essendon's backline is solid.
Essendon's top tier midfield are great.

But this is the majority of the Essendon forward line
New:
  • Patrick Ambrose,
  • Paul Chapman,
  • Zach Merrett
Plus a converted key defender, plus a 2nd year key forward who has to back up ruck, plus Kyle Hardingham.

If North lock the game down and put pressure on Essendon when going forward then their backline should win one on ones against that lot.

Funnily enough that hasn't been North's game style and Essendon might be a chance with midfield goals and fast break play.

The over-hyping of North by dim-witted, always wrong journalists has bordered ridiculousness this pre-season.

Time for the truth to be revealed.

Essendon by 10 points.

Pretty happy this is the friday night match after last week's offering and tomorrow night's display.
Tipping North. Think the midfield units for both teams are rather evenly poised. Both have had issues with accountability through the middle so hopefully that continues and it's a high scoring shootout. Love close games where both teams score 100+.

We're wearing white shorts, proving yet again the AFL has no idea about the uniform issue.

White is one of North's main colours. They have two, white is one. The archaic "away shorts" rule has surely been dead for years. So why make us wear them against North? North's jumper is largely white. It INCREASES a clash that doesn't exist.

North's home, blue-on-white, jumper with white shorts vs our jumper with black shorts. Both sides in proper traditional colours. Absolutely no chance of clash/confusion. Clearly too sensible for the AFL.
