Peter Yagmoor was a defender delisted last year.

2012 round 1 Collingwod v Hawthorn friday night ( I think) in front of 80,000 or so.

Peter Yagmoor had a great pre season and nab cup form was excellent. Tipped to be the Leon Davis replacement in the backline.

Shat his pants and got doughnuts, (had a kick in which doesn't count) never recovered and his VFL form was poor after that. Was than demoted to the rookie list. Seemed to improve a little bit over the next couple of years but was eventually delisted.

His career was ruined by an early debut.

Edit: Hope McIntosh goes alright.

I think Yagmoor had too much going on outside of football, and was probably debuted a bit to early.

McIntosh has spent 2 long years developing in the Magoos and has the general stigma of someone who has something to prove but believes in themselves and those around them. I think you'll find McIntosh put himself in every situation possible to get involved in the game, he might even be the first one to drop a bloke man-handling Cotchin. So just let McCaffer know someone will have his number the two times we meet this year!

McIntosh has been injured and dealing with a developing body after he grew 3cm after arriving at the club

Sorry for intruding

Do some people think McIntosh might pull a Yagmoor?

Never heard of him before how is going?

Very well. Looked the least likely of the 3 Mcs of 2012, but surely will be an improvement over Grigg for our tall seagull spot on the wing.

Yeah, being an outside player low draft pick thrown in the deep end wasn't a good idea.

I'll let him know if McIntosh gets dropped.

From Elim final
Out: Petterd, Foley(inj), Conca(inj?)
In: Lloyd, Hunt, McIntosh

I dont mind the team, we're staying safe and not making too many changes for Rd1.

McIntosh has pretty much come from nowhere this preseason, a 192cm hard running wingman, I like the sound of that and good luck to him.
I think the extra forward (Lloyd) shows we're looking to fill the gap left by Dusty (and maybe Cotch/Lids) spending more time in the midfield.

Dimma and co have had plenty of time to rectify last season's start, lets see how well they've done.
McIntosh's first game, Grigg now a contested ball specialist, Morris a forward, Dusty a full time midfielder, Jack at center bounces, lol cant wait.

Go Tigers.

I personally think newman is being used as a fake player. Once they understand the match conditions he will be swapped for either a tall or one of the other 2

Dimma said on tonight's CH9 news they have been deliberatly low key this preseason but their might be a big surprise or two for Mick (Malthous)
Could be just playing funny buggers, but you never know.

Great to see Dylan Grimes named in the side. He's had horrible luck with injury in his career so far but if he's fit and plays to his potential in 2015 he will significantly boost your defense.

Tip: Richmond by 22 points

He played 19 games last year, really hope he's done with the injuries *crossing everything*
Astbury is in the same injury boat though, defense can't take a trick

After watching all the Jeep propaganda in the pre-season video this week, for some reason I finished with a lot more faith in the match committee. That little window into a room with a half-dozen coaches and staff... magnets all over a board; match-ups, over-analysis of strengths etc. There's a reason for the 22 blokes selected each week- Dimma's favourites aside, it's not a rushed or offhand decision.
I actually never thought it was really.

Your not worried about Menzal and Thomas ?

Not really. Are you? Menzel has knees made of balsa and Thomas is a shadow of his former self.

Those boys aren't fit to tie Eddie's shoelaces.
Kamry Korp must laugh their head off at that trade, and of course Jacobs. Carlolton trading hilarity, the gift that keeps on giving, footys packet of timtams that never runs out!

Hi Guys

Serious Question (posted this on the Carlton board game thread) why was Lennon dropped ? I rate the lad, has done nice thongs for your VFL team, and thought he was sensational against Port in the NAB Challenge..

As an outside observer, I feel like Lennon isn't getting a fair suck of the sauce bottle, but obviously you guys would have a lot more knowledge.

Good luck for tomorrow, lets hope its a ripping game :)
Imo Lennon still has a few hurdles to jump over, particular in the position he plays(HB/HF). However he has plenty of time on his hands and his time will come very shortly.

Happy with the team selections, while I am surprised at newy being selected, the MC are in the best place to judge, I don't think fitness will be an issue. I like the dynamic of adding Lloyd to the team as he can sniff a goal very well. It just means that Maric cant do nothing when resting fwd. He must be presenting and drawing the 3rd tall all the time. Glad for Macca to get a game.
