Its Jack Lonie this week.

Can't complain, absolute jet.

Lonie has been good this year and deserves his nomination.

Very disappointed that Sheed still hasn't been recognised though. We just can't crack one of these, even if they aren't that important in the big picture!

When was the last one?

Lucky you guys are winning. If you are struggling and not getting rising star nominations they are the only measure apparently. They made a massive deal about Carlton not getting one for 3 years before Buckley broke through last year.

Well deserved. Surprised it took this long but it's a strong crop.

Graham and Sheed can expect nominations soon. I'd say the same for Toby McLean but he's out for 6-8 with a shoulder injury after a clumsy tackle.

Cast your memory back to 2011, when Mark Harvey was still coach of Freo and Rodney Eade was coach of the bulldogs

I guess you had some of your premiership stars hang on for a fair while and maybe weren't bringing in as many youngsters .... or something.

Haven't been that many from our squad that deserved a nomination over that period to be honest... But it has been a while...

It does feel a little like they are trying to give noms to players that struggle in their positions to have a massive impact on the stats sheet while being in the engine room, they are expecting Sheed and Graham to do enough to get one over the next 9 weeks. Would be a little unfair for both if they didn't get that recognition.

A lot of them retired before 2011, though.

Our recruitment in that time was abysmal, though, with the Gaff/Darling/Lycett draft probably the turning point.

Another left field selection.

16 disposals at 60% DE and 1 goal in a 110 flogging. MRP like logic.

Graham 26 disposals at 73 % DE, 5 tackles, 8 clearances and 13 CP's against a top eight side.

Sheed similar stat line with 11 clearances and a goal.
