Anderson best Hawk two weeks running.

Interesting that Ceglar didn't play considering it would be a 5 day turn around if he comes in for the Richmond game and Frawley only used sparingly. With Gibson facing the possibility of a week due to repeated offenses and Spangher out, they may want 2 talls available. Ceglar might come in anyhow as a replacement for Hale who may be rested after a few quiet weeks.

Possible changes this week at Hawthorn:

Out: Hale (rested), Spangher (hammy), Gibson (errant rib tickler)
In: Ceglar, Frawley, Anderson

Gibson isn't getting more than a fine for that hit. The fact that it will be just one more tummy tap before an automatic week will be enough of a deterrent.

Ugly game to be at and poor performance. Would've been the perfect game for Woodward. Anyways Anderson best on ground for us, heaps of tackles and hard ball gets. No one really had a good game besides Ando. He himself didn't do anything spectacular just a solid game. Just an ugly game really. We also missed Ceglar just to have some presence and we just made poor decisions going forward and their defense smothered us. I felt like Sicily got heaps of the ball.

Anyways, onto next week, hopefully an improved performance from the boys

I am serious.

That does not mean I agree with it.

It was a stunningly stupid thing to do from Gibbo.

It sure was.

He is a better player and bloke than that.

Just run through them the next time they are in the contest instead of giving them a woosie punch to the bread basket.....faaarks sake who wants to earn a rest for doing that shite?

Yes 2 the first 2 ins and outs but Shiels comes in for Jon O'Rourke
Gibbo fined. Stratts and Doc a possibility but need a 100% fit and firing backline to tackle Eagles.

Box Hill played with a simulated sub which was strange and possibly cost us the game.
Box Hill listed Joey Fisher (#21) was running around the boundary in a tracksuit like a sub would.
Chip Frawley played the 1st half and then showered and was sitting in his tracksuit right in front of me in the grandstand.

Wasn't able to follow this match except for a few updates on twitter and here. Doesn't sound like I missed much. Are Werribee our hoo doo team? We have lost to them twice this year.

An awful day, an awful effort, an awful result.
Best forgotten.

Spot on post. Werribee never looked like losing. In the first quarter we kicked with a 4 goal breeze and when Werribee kicked the first 2 goals I knew we were in trouble. Late goals to Tatupu and Howe gave us a 1 point lead at 1/4 time. Marco Bello urged the players to lift their work rate however in the second quarter Werribee kicked the first 2 goals before we fought back with goals to Exon and Willsmore. Aided by the breeze and a better work rate Werribee kicked the last 3 goals of the quarter to lead by 19 points at 1/2 time.

We needed to kick 6 goals in the third quarter but only managed 2.6 to 1.2. Goals to Pittonet and Simpkin were followed by bad misses to Tatupu and Miles and a late goal to Werribee which were very costly. Marco Bello was positive at 3/4 time however a 60 metre goal to McMahon saw us at the point of no return. The bottom line was Werribee had more players who were prepared to work hard to win the contested ball and put pressure on the opposition players. Also we tried to play dry weather football and as a result turned the ball over a lot. The game was very similar to the wet weather slog against North Ballarat in which we stole victory with Grimley's goal on the siren. Once again too much was left to too few and it's not good enough to expect you can win by turning up in the last quarter.

The tackle count tells which team was more prepared to get down and dirty with Werribee 114 and BHH 92. Anderson and Exon 10, Howe 9 and Hardisty and O'Donnell 8 can hold their heads up for effort. The only player to not record a single tackle was Sicily.

For what it's worth my best players were Anderson, Heatherley, O'Donnell, Mirra, Pittonet, Simpkin, Howe and Sicily. Whitecross started well but was beaten by McMahon who was BOG by a mile. Wilson was worthy of mention for playing a very good game on Tatupu. Frawley was good in the first half and Joey Fisher was very good in the second half.

If Jud puts in another belter for Box Hill next week, is he a chance for West coast the following week.
Is Kurt a chance to get a game before year's end. Those numbers are impressive for a defender.
