Take Riewoldt out of the team and we are 30in front. The Guy is just Brilliant. Still can go either way.

"That's an extraordinary decision."

Understatement.

* these umpires are so awful they'd be fired if the AFL in any way rewarded competency.

Free kick for performing a legal handball. Add it to the bounced mark, and hey, a free shove right there too.

Toby Greenes disposal is disgraceful but the whole team is showing a bit of panic today

Well we had our chances to win and just couldn't take it. ******* awful all around - umps put together something special, someone really needs to put together a montage of their "highlights". Credit to the Saints defence, Patton and Cameron were exposed as still a bit inexperienced and not sure how to react if being held well.

Not blaming umpires for the loss but some decisions were bewildering. Saints are not as bad as everyone thought. Well doneto them.High point for us. Kelly looks the goods

At least it was lack of composure and not lack of legs. I thought that was the problem in the third but that probably isnt giving Saints enough credit. our big guns were both off their ganes today. Cameron seemed really flat

Jezza probably more more games like that than we notice, but comes out of the with 3-4 goals. Save for a couple of poorly hit set shots he might've done the same today...

As frustrating as the loss must be, the skill level and composure shown by Kelly is what I'd be taking out of the game.

Also super impressed with Hampton.
Kelly was awesome, will be interesting to see how he can run out a game as a starter.

Hampton was more good than bad for sure, hope he keeps giving that dash.

7 points. And we had more scoring shots.

But considering our previous two outings against the Saints were absolute pastings, we're obviously making great progress.

Bring on the Demons!
...and yet it was much more disappointing this loss than any 100 point walloping of the past 2 years. Several botched opportunities in front of goal real cost us the game.
