Not losing by 120 when you're at the bottom of the ladder and playing Hawthorn in Tassie is a positive, sad as it sounds.
That Roughead goal from the pocket + the one where Sicily kicked into the man on the mark and it bounced straight to Cyril were ridiculous. So frustrating. I though we did reasonably well in not giving them too many easy goals, but they just pulled goals out of nowhere anyway.

Christensen and Robinson continue to prove what great pick-ups they were.

Rocky showing he still has his AA form ready to go for next year and Martin is still a borderline AA ruckman.

Beasley & Evans showing some signs but clearly out of their depth at this stage, Adcock got 2 goals but only 4 touches shows that the club is right to consider not giving him a contract.

Rich needs to get surgery in the off-season to back to his best, McGuane has won himself a 1 year contract and Green found a little bit of form for a poor year form him.

Paparone had a bad game but still found the ball 19 times, needs to have a rest and come back better for next year.

Mayes, Taylor & Cutler were fringe at best, okay but nothing special to make their mark.

Really we got thrashed in one quarter. 12 players aged 21 years or under, let's put things into perspective. We had a crack, can't expect much more when your team is full of kids.

Someone mentioned that it doesn't sound right to lose by 12 goals and not be too fazed by it. I'm in that camp. Hawks in Tassie is a huge task at the best of times...

See I rate Cutler just don't think he's been able to get a decent run, he would be up there in my top candidates for most improved next yeara

4 people in the Hawks fwd 50 as the ball came in at one point. 3 Hawks, and Merrett.
How's that for some ******* "zoning".:rolleyes::straining::mad::fire::fire:
Yeah but that was a constant problem for us. At times we looked like a junior football team, everyone would pile in on the stoppages with no one staying out as a reciever, the Hawks on the other hand are a far better drilled team and had recievers waiting for the clearance, too many times we were clobbered when Hawthorne won the clearance.

Can't agree about Cutler - he was on Rioli all day and kept him fairly quiet, whilst also doing a few nice things himself.

Was solid defensively on Betts last week as well. His run off half back should still be his focus but it's good to see his defence has improved.

IMO it was the inept disposal from our blokes that started the rot in the 2nd Qtr, a few soft turn overs and a bit of scoreboard pressure and we went into our shell for most of the Qtr and the Hawks fully capitalised as you would expect.
